Hi my name is Kristy. I come from an agriculture background, and it has always by passion! I wanted to do a small introduction post about myself and our small farm.
My husband and I come from generations of dairy farmers that were local to us. Our kids are growing up here and we are invested in this area.
I grew up with horses, goats, dogs, cats, turtles, bunnies, and even fish. I helped my friends milk cows and have pet sat even more kinds of animals.
My first official job was at a local horse farm where I worked through High school, some of college, and returned as an adult for a couple years more.
Since we bought our own place a few years ago, I dreamed of running a horse business. The name āCricketā actually comes from my horse riding instructor as that is what she called me growing upš
While that dream is still being worked towards, I never expected chickens to be such a large part of my life! What started out as telling my husband I only wanted 6 chickens, quickly became something more!
My little farm is not at its peak! We have plans. And Iām so excited to share them with you along the way. For now, my farm stand is a way for me to reach our community with farm fresh products that we have worked hard for every single day. Not just in the daily care for these animals, but on our land, sheds, and so much more.
My dreams donāt end here. Theyāre still expanding and if my husband can keep up, Iāll keep us busy forever! š
