CUSTOMERS DRIVING SOUTH -- Planning another trip for mangos? You may want to come this Sunday, August 9, to avoid the road closure the following weekend.

The railroad crossing on US 98 between the Erickson Farm and Port Mayaca will be completely closed. The detour requires either going all the way over to West Palm or around the West side of the lake (i.e., about 2 hours).

If you need to come August 16 and are coming from farther than the Okeechobee area you can significantly mitigate the detour by altering your initial route to avoid the area. Come via South Bay or Loxahatchee Groves instead.

🚧 Heads up, drivers! Road closure!

Beginning Thursday, August 13 at 7:00 a.m., S.R. 15 / U.S. 98 / U.S. 441 (Conners Highway) will be fully closed at the South Central Florida Express (SCFE) railroad crossing for rehabilitation work.

🗓️ Closure: August 13, 7:00 a.m. – August 17, 5:00 p.m.
(If needed, work may extend until August 18 at 7:00 a.m.)

Please plan ahead, use alternate routes, and allow extra travel time. Thanks for your patience while these improvements are completed. 🚧
