Simmental Cow Calf Beef Producer Our herd has grown to more than 21 brood cows producing both spring & fall calves.

Randy & Karen Rugenstein started a small herd of Simmental Beef Cattle to teach their daughters Becky & Amy the value of a hard earned dollar. Through hands on experience & help along the way from fellow beef producers, Cornell Cooperative Extension, & the New York Beef Producers we have successfully set up our rotational grazing providing adequate forage during the summer months. We enjoy selling

our heifers as seed stock replacement to other beef producers throughout the Northeast. Our bull calves have been marketed to other beef producers through sales & private treaty. We enjoy selling our halter broke prospect steer & heifer calves to local 4-H members. Helping youth start their beef herds takes us back to our beginning! Visitors are always welcome at Rugenstein Family Farm!
