Recipe Wednesday is here!
Who said impressive dishes have to be complicated? Iconic T-Bone Steak is grilled then sliced and served with a simple Greek salad.
I don't know about you, but we have been enjoying quick and easy grilled meals lately, grilling season is our favorite time of year!

We took a couple of days off last week to take the kids to compete at the American Junior Simmental Associations Eastern Regional and Simmental Breeders Sweepstakes. Grant and Laramie competed in knowledge contests, a judging contest and sales talk competitions. They also showed their heifers in two showmanship competitions and exhibited their animals, it was a busy 5 days! New friends were made, lots of laughs were had and they are already planning for next year.
A couple of our momma cows held their babies in until we got home and blessed us with two new bull calves. Loretta was a first time mom so she needed a little assistance to get her baby nursing, but Willie Nelson is doing great!
Noah took a quick gator ride to get weighed and his new calf shots and is back loving life with his momma!

Lately, farm life has been in high gear. From equipment preparation to hay harvesting, garden planting, compost bagging, and squeezing in a few cattle shows, our schedule has been packed. As of now, G&L's compost stand is fully stocked and ready for your garden!

Beef Shack note: On Friday June 12th, we will not open until 11:00am. Saturday will be our regular hours.
