Rounding out our National Romney Sale consignment we have a really powerful long topped, wide made, big b***d January Ram Lamb. Thistle Down 606 is once again out of the Anchorage ram and Thistle Down 913 who has made 2 true stud rams and was reserve at NAILE back in her day. Her first stud ram Black Jack is still here at Thistle Down and the second is a white stud ram currently at Mortons making all sorts of good babies! If you are looking to upgrade your stud barn look no further than this lamb! Show him this year and breed with him next year or just put him in with ewes you won't regret it. The only reason we are selling him is that we are still using Black Jack as a stud ram. I think he has all the parts to elevate any program to the next level! A little change to the lineup from what was entered but this is our second National Romney Sale entry. Thistle Down 511 QR+ is a February born yearling ewe out of the Anchorage ram and Little Hooves 9103. This ewe might not be what you would expect from a Thistle Down consignment but with shifting trends in the breed we wanted to give people an option. Im going to call her trendy. She is big topped, wide hipped, long bodied, with lots of rib and natural width, with a nice fleece and all the extra chrome you need! She is not small by any means either! I think she has a lot of great assets that would benefit any flock! We look forward to seeing everyone this week in Ohio!

Starting off our National Romney Sale consignment with a dandy! This ewe is right out of the NAILE show flock from last fall. Thistle Down 513 RR is a late February yearling ewe out of the Anchorage ram and Thistle Down 304 who was a NAILE class winner herself. This ewe has all the look and style you need to be a player in any show ring this summer. Add in her center of body and capacity, she will have the power needed in the ring today. The only reason we are letting this great female go is that we have a full sister born this spring. If you are serious about big time Romney females this one is a must-see attraction! Thistle Down 404 our yearling ram was named National champion sale ram today! This yearling rams twin brother was the 2024 NAILE champion ram. He is out of the great Thistle Down 004 ewe who has made 4 NAILE banner winners and the Anchorage ram. I can’t make a much better package genetically! Dont miss out on this true stud ram! We have made it Greenville for the National Romney Sale! We have 4 great lots (Feb ewe lamb not pictured yet)! The yearling ram is twin the last years NAILE champion ram! The yearling ewe is a great foundation ewe and is the last “Calvin” daughter that will sell! And the we round out the consignment with two young ewe lambs one January and one February!

Well folks Miss "Silver Charm" Thistle Down 316 is the very first ewe in history to completed the trifecta of winning the 2024 National Sale, the 2024 National Show held at the BigE, and being named 2024 Champion Ewe at the North American International Livestock Expo! Along with many other champions along the way!

A HUGE congratulations goes to Claire VonBehrens and the entire Rincker crew for an outstanding year campaigning this elite ewe across the country! Your hard work has put the Romney breed in some of the biggest backdrop photos of the year! Keep up the great work!
