I am at the flower farm almost every day doing something productive like deadheading or weeding.
On Monday I had decided to take the day off and not go to the flower farm but even on a planned day off, I couldn't stay away. I wanted to be at the flower farm, not to work but to just enjoy it. I walked through the flower farm and just breathed it all in. I was surrounded by the music of the birds singing, the buzzing of the many bees and the vibrations of the humming birds flying by me. I was in awe! So much beauty all around me, not just the flowers but nature all around me. It made me feel so humble in this place that is so special to me. I walked through every row just taking my time. I love being there, my own little piece of heaven. There is so much nature all around me. I made a bouquet, not for anyone else, just me. I took my time and just breathed it all in. I painted a little outdoor table and chair set the week before. I painted it purple 💜 in honor of my mom. She loved the color purple and loved being there before it was even a flower farm. I sat down at that table with my bouquet and thought of Mom. It could be because it was my birthday and she has been gone for 27 years. I didn't feel sadness, I felt peace and also very blessed. It was an amazing day and one I don't think I will forget! I hope all of you have days like these that make your heart sing!! These are some pictures from that day.

The princess event was last Saturday. My daughter and granddaughters came home to help me. The little beauties came all dressed up like princesses. They all looked so pretty! They were accompanied by their mom or grandma.The princesses picked out their own tiara and their eyes lit up when they put it on. We toured the flower farm and had some picture opportunities. The princesses and their chaperones made flower charm bracelets together and also made their own flower bouquet 💐.
We then had snacks and drank sparkling grape juice from mini tea cups! The princesses took turns getting princess tattoos. The time went by so fast and we ran out of time. A few of the girls stayed to do the scavenger hunt with their grandmas. I so enjoyed the Princess day. I think my daughter and granddaughters had as much fun as the girls. Thank you to the adorable little princesses and their chaperones for a fun day and for making it special for us. Thank you especially for letting us be princesses with you!!

Monday night was the bouquet portion of our Clay to Bouquet event at Central Park, and I had the absolute pleasure of sharing so many beautiful flowers and watching each bouquet come to life. 💐

A special thank you to Sarah Bednark for sharing her expertise and teaching us the art of creating beautiful clay vases. We are also incredibly grateful to the Southwest Minnesota Arts Council for sponsoring this wonderful event and helping make it possible!

It was such a joy to see everyone’s creativity come together. Thank you to everyone who participated and made the evening so special! 🌸
