We’ve always said raising kids in the livestock industry is the best way to raise them, not only does it show them the importance of agriculture but it instills a work ethic, determination, drive, and passion that they don’t get anywhere else.
This is the future of our sheep industry and farm 🤍

This booth deserves its own post!
Not only were we successful with our sheep but our booth too!
Many hours were spent preparing for Maryland, those hours turned into a full and overflowing booth!
Thank you to anyone who came to see us whether you purchased something or just stopped in to say hi!

We still have some items left so be on the lookout for a pop-up online store!

We were so happy with how our babies did! We were so glad to spend the weekend with the kiddos exposing them to the festival, all of the great people who show with us, the amazing judges, and all those that worked so hard to make the festival run so smoothly!

We are set up and ready for Maryland Sheep and Wool 2026!
Sheep are prepped, Booth is ready to welcome customers, and we are resting up ready for the weekend!

WNC people- we have large trash bags of raw fleeces that are ready to use in gardens for wool mulch. Each bag has 5-6 raw, unskirted fleeces, $50 per bag, local pickup!

Today we took a drive over the mountain to The University of Tennessee in Knoxville to teach those enrolled in their sheep and goat management class about our operation, how fiber from different breeds have different properties and how they fill the need of various aspects of the fiber industry, how to wash wool, and how to dye wool with easter egg dye!
For our raw fleeces we featured different percentages of valais, Teeswater, Lincoln, and brought border leicester, babydoll southdown, Shetland, and Miniature Cheviot fleeces!
We had a blast and love teaching and motivating the next generation!

Last but certainly not least in our keeper pen!
Meet Hank! He is a 71.875% VBN ram lamb!
Not only are his markings striking, he's also what we look for in build and body! Studying him at the ground or spanning over his top, he's an impressive boy (maybe he knows it a little too- just look at that stance😉)
He’s slated to start his show career up in Maryland this coming May at Maryland sheep and wool, we can’t wait to see how he does!

Next up in our keeper pen: Crumpet
Crumpet is an F3 ewe lamb out of one of our show ewes (Biscotti) and our pure ram (Jethro)!
She takes after her momma in so many ways, from body shape and confirmation down to her personality!
She sure is a spunky lamb but we can’t wait to get working with her and see her shine in the show ring!
Crumpet is a half sibling to Macadamia, our ewe yearling that competed in many fall shows! Macadamia took supreme long wool ewe at the NC Mountain state fair, Supreme long wool ewe and grand champion long wool ewe at the Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair and reserve champion long wool ewe at the NC State Fair in Raleigh, NC! We have high hopes for Crumpet to follow in Macadamia’s footsteps and be a stunner in the show ring!
