Our Story
Established 1998. We practice growing organically. In addition to vegetables and fruit, we operate an airbnb and have welcomed over a thousand guests. One of our practices is using dogs for pest control, the alternative to thousands of dollars in fencing against deer and bears. This has cost us the wholesale branch of our farm as the food safety regulations were revamped in 2015 making this practice illegal. We are selling on Saturdays at the Asheville City Market, and on Thursdays at the New Candler Tailgate Market. In addition we supply several of our local herbalists with medicinal plants when we can. We hope to have dried herbs available over the ‘net’ soon, and can supply on request. We grow a lot of the natives, from jewelweed to nettles. Visitors are welcome by appointment. We are a very small farm now, although at one time we planted 22 acres. Growing old is a challenge.
