For those who love our Choc O’ Nana Bowl, we’ve added a little Fall twist for you to create anytime, anywhere! We have swapped out acai and dragon fruit with Nutella for a rich hazelnut Autumn recipe that is easy to make and you can dress it up however you like!
All you will need is:

* 1/2 cup - vanilla almond milk (Substitute with any milk preference)
* 2 cups - frozen cut bananas
* 1 tbs - Nutella
* 1/2 tbs - cacao powder or scoop of chocolate protein powder (If protein powder makes it too thick, add a little more milk!)

Blend to a smooth constancy, pour in a bowl and enjoy!
We recommend toppings such as your favorite chopped nuts, seeds, fresh sliced banana, coconut flakes and chocolate shavings! However, with a smoothie base that’s less than half the calories of ice cream, you can go a lil nuts with the toppings! 😉 …

In honor of International Banana Festival Day, we thought we’d share a few reasons as to why these fabulous fruits should be celebrated. Not only do they make a nutritious snack, they come wrapped in their own biodegradable packaging! Fun fact about their peels, they are as great for your plants as they are for your body! That said, they make a phenomenal DIY fertilizer. Place the peel in a mason jar and fill it with water. Steep for three days, stirring occasionally. Strain the solution and pour or spray it directly on your plants, it is full of nutrients that are helpful in deterring pests and promoting root growth. As for how they benefit you, bananas are known for being an optimum source of potassium, which has been shown to help balance the fluid levels within our cells, blood pressure, heartbeat regulation, as well as support proper muscle and nerve function. Bananas also provide magnesium, fiber, manganese, Vitamin C and B6. So go bananas and enjoy them blended in a smoothie, with your favorite ice cream or the way Elvis enjoyed his - between a few pieces of bread with some peanut butter! Any way you split it, bananas are great for you and the planet! Curious to learn more? Check out the link in our bio…

We have all heard the old adage "An apple a day, keeps the doctor away", and with all the germs that seem to be floating around lately, "National Eat an Apple Day" could not have come at a better time!
Apples are known for their high Pectin content and have been shown to support healthy LDL cholesterol levels (low-density lipoprotein). They are also a great source of fiber, antioxidants and vitamin C. With a wide variety to choose from, they are delicious alone or in an array of recipes ranging from your Grandmother's homemade apple pie, to gourmet pastries and much more!
As for flu season, take comfort in knowing you can make a warm cider of apple, lemon, ginger and honey to help soothe your sore throat and muscle aches. See recipe here: https://eatsmarter.com/recipes/hot-apple-and-ginger-drink
Taking it a step further, the juice from apples can be fermented to make Apple Cider Vinegar which has also been known to support a more healthy, alkaline body. It is flavorful in salad dressings and marinades, and diluted with water has been said to aid in digestion and help boost immunity. Not up for fermenting? We recommend a tablespoon of Braggs Brand that is bottled with “The Mother” (the culture of helpful bacteria that converts apple cider into vinegar), mixed with a cup of warm water and honey to cut the acidic taste. Get a bottle here: https://www.amazon.com/Bragg-Organic-Vinegar-Cleanser-Promotes/dp/B01CSX4N9K/ref=sr_1_5?crid=34EB99BYCQVL1&keywords=braggs+apple+cider+vinegar&qid=1694897434&sprefix=brag%2Caps%2C157&sr=8-5
So, with Fall fast approaching, spend a day with friends and family at a local orchard and get creative in the kitchen with a few of your favorite apple recipes!…

Fall is fast approaching, but here in Texas the summer heat continues to sizzle! While we always make it a point to tell you to stay hydrated, if you have a garden, you know your plants are all about needing that H2O as well. Here are a few tips you can use to get your herbs, plants and veggies ready for the cooler months.

Cleaning out potentially sick or dying plants helps to prevent anything spreading to the rest of your vegetation. Pruning and removing old fruit and vegetables can help reduce invasive insects and plant diseases.You may also consider bringing in your vocational pots or replanting. If so, your plant has grown over the summer, be sure to prune it back to accommodate the size of its new planter and give it some extra space to spread its roots throughout winter.

Once your garden is cleaned out, you are ready to refresh your dirt. Simply add 2 to 3 inches of fresh compost to your top soil and mix it in to the deeper levels to spread the nutrients. Also, if you have horses or chickens, use manure. Now is the perfect time to add this beneficial matter containing Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium which will help your vegetation flourish through the coming months. No livestock? No worries! Check out this link for a great option to add to your soil… https://www.amazon.com/Black-Kow-Composted-Manure-Size/dp/B08K1NJVKM/ref=sr_1_3?crid=25DWGC6HWLOCK&keywords=black+cow+mulch&qid=1694106302&sprefix=black+cow+mulch%2Caps%2C155&sr=8-3

We hope everyone had a great Labor Day Weekend!
For those that had a bit too much fun, here are some tips to help get you back in the swing of things!
1. Electrolytes are one of the quickest ways to replenish your system. They contain minerals like calcium, potassium, magnesium and sodium that have been known to help with fatigue, brain fog and muscle cramps. Electrolytes can be found in Pedialyte, sports drinks, coconut water, powdered packets of all flavors, even fruits and veggies. See our favorites here. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Electrolyte&crid=EVI5SLWR34QN&sprefix=electrolyte%2Caps%2C176&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
2. Charcoal has been shown to help with detox by pulling toxins from the body like a magnet. Charcoal comes in powdered form, capsules and premixed beverages. To purchase, check out this link.

3. Tea is a versatile remedy you can enjoy hot, cold, day or night. Ginger, Turmeric, Peppermint, Green tea and Matcha have been shown to aid with head aches, upset stomach, or giving you a boost of energy without crashing. Find your flavor here. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=organic+herbal+tea&crid=KMYPF168TN73&sprefix=organic+herbal+tea%2Caps%2C207&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
4. Another detoxifying option is to infuse water with fresh fruits, herbs and veggies. The most beneficial are cucumbers, lemons, limes, mint and berries. Simply dice your favorites, add them to a pitcher of purified water and chill for the best result. It's great to have this readily available in your fridge at all times!…
