Only a small amount of people have an independent seat and can stay in-stride without constantly using the reins to steady themselves.
Only a small amount of people can feel what the horse’s feet are doing and can recognize when the horse is correct in their movement.
A large percentage of people over bit the horse (some ride bitless with equipment that still acts as a leverage device that places pressure on the jaw, nose and poll that is also very intrusive) which causes tension and anxiety.
Don’t get upset with your horse when they ‘don’t listen’ or ‘cooperate’. They are doing the best they can with the information they are being given.
Your horse isn’t giving you a hard time, he’s having a hard time….
