"ATTENTION ONE AND ALL"
This is Baleigh Alpaca reporting from our offices on Main Street. I'm happy to say the Colonel Bills Creek memorial bridge is officially open. It was a grand sight. As reported, 101 year old Ms. Lavinia Worthington from the Senior Center, originally from Walla Walla Washington, cut the ribbon. She drove her motorized scooter across followed by Mr. Mayor on a John Deere tractor, the South Canisteo marching band, the South Canisteo police, the fire department, the SC sanitation truck and a bi-centennial float. Hundreds of onlookers were at the chicken barbecue afterwards. On another note, today is National Dog Day. That loyal companion, protector and friend deserves a special day. My people have taken in several rescues, and it's the best feeling. Love 'em like family, you are to them. If you make a trip to see the new bridge, stop by the Alpaca Store and see the Mrs. fall displays. Baleigh out.

"Greetings from the offices of the Gazette"
Award winning reporter, Baleigh Alpaca, bringing you today's news. I'm happy to report that construction of South Canisteo's bridge is almost to an end. There were no reported problems other than the Widow Jones chickens wandered onto the site one day, and Hippie Bob mistook a crane for a B and B. No arrests were made. Mr. Mayor has been in talks with officials to have a big celebration. The Senior Centers oldest resident, 101 year old Miss Lavinia Worthington, will cut the opening ribbon. The South Canisteo marching band, led by Mr. Mayor, the police department and fire department will follow. A barbecue and music will take place in the park. More to follow. Today is National Remove a Tattoo Day. You know who you are...got wasted, took a dare, just bad judgment. You want it gone. You could just cover it up. How about a nice alpaca tattoo...hmmm? On a side note, my people are selling alpaca...uh...beans. Not really beans, but it will make plants grow. The Mrs. has corn eight feet high and tomato plants braced up with chains and 4x4's. The teletype is chattering so gotta go. Baleigh out.

"SUNSHINE ON MY SHOULDER MAKES ME HAPPY"
If you're as old as my people, you'll remember that John Denver classic. It's been a few days since we've seen it. Ol' Hippie Bob has been singing the blues and Widow Jones chickens feathers were starting to droop. I guess all we need is a big hug... and by the way, today is Share a Hug Day. C'mon, you know you want one. Everybody feels better when you get a hug. So go out and hug your significant other....your bestie...hug your parents....hug your pet. Get permission first, but hug a stranger.And on another note, my people will be at the Angelica Heritage Days this weekend. There will be music, a car show, chicken barbecue, croquet matches and of course the Mrs. selling items from my naturally curly hair. Stop by and drop off treats for us. "FRIDAY IS PIE DAY"
And you know what goes with pie...ICE CREAM. I'm Baleigh and the reason I bring it up is because it's National Vanilla Ice Cream Day. And we've sure gone thru a lot lately. On a 95 degree day ice cream, the ac and a movie go great. Did you know there's an alpaca ice cream? Not alpaca flavored, just our picture on the carton. That's how popular we are. The weather has kept everyone close to home here in the Southtown. Farmer Brown has been selling iced "tonic" at the general store. Speaking of stores...(shameless plug), my store has several beautiful glass clocks with colorful pictures on them. If you stop, bring treats. Have a great weekend, Baleigh out.

I'M BALEIGH ALPACA, HEAD OF ADVERTISING FOR STONEY ALPACAS.
As you have heard, it's the 20th anniversary of the biggest alpaca farm in South Canisteo. Against my better judgement, my people will be offering 20% off of all purchases. That's right, 20% for 20 years. I tried to talk them out of it, but you know how stubborn old folks are. From July 1st to July 7th stop in and take advantage of us...I dare you. "THIS IS WPACA COMING TO YOU LIVE FROM DOWNTOWN SOUTH CANISTEO"
I'm Baleigh and let's get down to business. First, don't let the construction worry you. We are open as usual, and easy to get to. (you can hardly hear them) Now I want you to know the Mrs. has been working day and night revamping my gift shop. For example, we have a Raggedy Ann and Andy display and victorian ceramic faces. You are going to be amazed at the new items. I know you're curious, today is Bring Your Dog to Work Day. Tucker, our faithful companion is always here, but ask your boss if it's possible to bring yours in. They probably wonder where you go to everyday. In case you're confused, this is his yoga position called the dead bug. (go figure) More importantly...we made our regular visit to Mr. Pierres' House of Hair. I must say we look MARVELOUS!
