Farming is hard! Last week we had BIG thunderstorm here at the farm with just enough hail to snap all the flowers off of our plants. We ended up loosing more than we thought in that little hail storm. We won’t be at either farmers markets this weekend.

We’ve taken the week to do damage control, clean up from the storm and and assess the field. Luckily, it’s not a total loss - hopefully just a weeklong set back!

Please go and support the other amazing farmers out there who have products to share with you this weekend!

FLOWERS ARE OFFICIALLY AVAILABLE IN TOWN!

Starting today, you can find our bouquets at Colon Orchards in Cañon City!

Colon Orchards has been a pillar of our local farming community for generations — the largest farm shop in the area — so we’re especially excited to partner with them.

We get asked all the time, “Where can I buy your flowers in town?” We’ve never really had a good answer… until now.

Lots of options from big and small mixed bouquets, lisianthus bunches, dahlia bunches and mixed sunflower bunches! We are very excited to bring oodles of stunning lisianthus with us to market this weekend!! After sharing so many views of a greenhouse overflowing with lisianthus blooms, we thought it was only fair to share them with you! We’ve got big mixed bouquets with lisi and bunches of mixed colors of lisianthus too!! First big day of transplanting for the year! We’re about a week late planting these babies, but the tilth on these beds was 👩‍🍳💋. Strawflower, centraurea aloha Blanca, bachy buttons, larkspur, bupluerum, calendula, scabiosa, and more went in. All in about 3,000 plants. Looking forward to this view weekly moving forward!

P.S. even professional flower farmers have issues with germination on our plugs - peep the closest one to the back of the transplanter that a mouse got into to 🤦‍♀️. In the pursuit of perfect, but mostly okay will do just fine.
