Honeybee swarming is nature’s way of colony expansion. When a hive becomes overcrowded, the bees initiate the swarming process as a means of reproduction and growth. We recently spoke about honeybee's with the first grade at Central Christian Academy in Houston, PA. What a nice afternoon. The boys and girls were all very interested and had many great questions. They also got to sign a honey box that will be used in honey collection this season.

Sadly, these warm beautiful days of 2023 are numbered. Leafs are starting to fall but the tree are turning gorgeous reds and yellows. The bees are searching hard for the last sources of nectar before frost hits. Kind of like us bringing in our dwindling crops as well.
