Less than one week until our 2026 market season kicks off!!

We will be headed to coventryfarmersmarket on Sunday morning as a full time farm for the season. On Wednesday, we head south to Ledyard Farmers' Market. I am super excited to get the market rig on the road and see all of the familiar faces!

The extreme heat last summer was tough on the rabbitry. I was hoping for some milder temps this summer… but it already seems like that may be a lost cause. Multiple days of 90+ in May?! Mother Nature loves to test us 🫣

Justin and I butchered all of the finished fryers ahead of the heat this week. The feed bill thanks me, but the freezers are not thrilled by the overtime 😅

“Please, Lord, don’t let these beauties bolt” is my morning, afternoon, and evening spiritual proclamation these days 😆😁

Will my prayers be heard? Stay tuned! Hopefully I have a few fresh onions at the opening Coventry Farmers' Market on May 31st!

Whenever we open up new ground, ground cover is our best friend for the first year to help suppress the weeds. Sod does not give up easily!

WE ARE STILL HERE 👋

I’ll be the first to own up to being very absent from social media this spring. Between the “day jobs” demanding more of us and the Farmette expecting everything from us, it has not left much time for posting. BUT that doesn’t mean big thing and GOOD THINGS haven’t been happening on the farm!!

We have some big changes lined up for this season that we plan to share soon.

Today, though, we are just marveling at the “buried treasure” we found while prepping beds for the first lettuce planting of the 2026 season.
