Picked up some Christmas 🎄 to line one side of the fence with. Not only a good wind break but hides the coop from animals in the woods.

It was a beautiful Christmas day yesterday so everyone was out enjoying the sun. Even this weirdo.

Yesterday Sally passed away while in the coop:-/ One of my fav's, and will be missed.

This is a video of her from the summer being an independent pain in the rear. Going to miss that.

Yesterday 1/13/2023 Sally passed away. Her and her sister both had a difficult time with the extra large eggs they gave me. But this is one of the few videos...

Almost everyone has fully feathered out after a couple molted. A few of them have been waiting over a year to get new feathers to replace ones damaged from over aggressive roosters (problem was solved after realizing what was happening).

First photo of a single chicken is Mary (the red one) who has been waiting forever for new back feathers. She's had it really ruff, and didn't care for the molting process but is beginning to look beautiful again. Another week and she should be fully feathered out.

Beth (the black one) also has gotten new feathers and had even a harder time with the process, but it is now over for her and she's not complaining anymore about getting new feathers.

Lastly, but definitely not least, is Sally (blue gray). She's our giant egg layer and had a really bad month a while back. Thought we would lose her to a bad infection but she's a strong one and pulled through after some loving and medication (mostly the medication). She's back to her old spunky independent self and seems to be enjoying winter more than some of the others (she's a cold hardy bird).

If you stop by they will be more than happy to great you, and if you have sunflower seeds will probably abandon me for you.
