There’s nothing quite like the sound of rain on a homestead that’s been needing it. 🌧️🤎

Our land has been waiting on a good, soaking rain, and today we finally got one. No complaints from us about this late-summer storm — the pasture, garden, trees, and animals are all getting a much-needed break.

Sometimes the best days are the rainy ones. 🌧️🌲

🏥🐰 Welcome to Willow’s Maternity Ward! 🍼🤍

Why is our giant pregnant rabbit getting ready to give birth in our living room?! 😂

With Texas still bringing the heat and babies expected around September 14th, our 15+ lb mama-to-be has officially moved indoors!

Her new maternity ward is ready, Willow is settling in, and Baby Watch is ON. 👀🐰

Now we wait for those nesting instincts to kick in and hopefully, very soon… BABIES! 🥹🍼

If you listen really closely, you can hear Willow doing the sweetest little tooth purr while she gets her snuggles. 🤍

Our mama-to-be has been soaking up all the extra love lately, and with her Flemish Giant babies expected around September 14th, we’re soaking up these quiet moments with her too.

Soon our sweet girl will have a whole little nest of babies to take care of. 😭🐇🐇🐇

For now… she gets all the snuggles.

Meet Peter Rabbit 🐰🥕

And of course, we couldn’t properly introduce Peter Rabbit without a carrot. 😂

Peter is our handsome Flemish Giant dad-to-be. He’s curious about absolutely everything, incredibly friendly, always up for a good snuggle… and clearly never turns down a good carrot. 🥕🤎

With Willow on baby watch, we thought it was only right that you got to meet the other half of our soon-to-be little Flemish Giant family!

If our dates are right, we could be meeting Peter & Willow’s babies around September 14. 🐇🐇🐇

Until then, Peter will be over here enjoying the easy part of becoming a dad. 😂

We have some exciting news at Parrott & Pasture… 🐰🤎

We’re pretty sure our sweet Willow is expecting! 🥹

If our dates are right, we could be welcoming our first litter of little Flemish Giant babies around September 14!

Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be getting Mama Willow ready, setting up her nesting space and watching for all the signs that babies are getting close.

We’re so excited to share this little adventure with you. Follow along for Willow’s Baby Watch and, hopefully, some very tiny (for now 😂) Flemish Giants coming soon! 🐇🤎

Another tiny 😉 watermelon, weighing in at 43lbs! Let’s hope this one is just as sweet as the last one.

Don’t ask us the tricks of growing them large, this is the first year we’ve successfully grown them. Last week, we lost about 5 of them due to random pests and who knows what. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This little one is going to a family friend. We’ll make sure they report back on the sweetness factor.

If she’s gone missing, more than likely, she’s in the tree or maybe she’s under your car. 🫣
