Another tiny 😉 watermelon, weighing in at 43lbs! Let’s hope this one is just as sweet as the last one.

Don’t ask us the tricks of growing them large, this is the first year we’ve successfully grown them. Last week, we lost about 5 of them due to random pests and who knows what. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This little one is going to a family friend. We’ll make sure they report back on the sweetness factor.

Our adventurous little one! Everyone meet, Bear, a.k.a. Mama Bear!

If she’s gone missing, more than likely, she’s in the tree or maybe she’s under your car. 🫣

This one is adventurous and we always have to keep an eye out for her!

Mittens is the cuddly who is always down for a good snuggle and purr.

Here she is! Bear loves to climb and explore the trees around here!

Can you find the kitten? 🐈 🔎

In addition to hunting grasshoppers and crickets, the kittens love climbing and exploring our area!

They are learning to be the best farm cats!

🍉 THE BIG REVEAL… 50 POUNDS!! 🍉

Our ginormous garden watermelon officially tipped the scale at a whopping 50 pounds! 😳 We had so much fun reading all of your guesses, and some of y’all were SO close! ❤️

And the best part? We’ve got more growing! 👀🍉 A few of them are already looking like they might give this one a run for its money.

So if you’re new here, make sure you follow our page! 🌱❤️ When the next big watermelon is ready to pick, we’re going to do another Guess the Weight — and this time, we’re giving the watermelon away if you guess the correct size! 🍉🎉

AND….SURPRISE!! Jo Ann Boyd Stroud you were the first one who guessed so close to the actual amount, we decided to give you one from our garden! DM us to arrange for a pick up!

Follow along so you don’t miss your chance to guess, win, and take home one of our homegrown watermelons!

Now the question is… do you think the next one can beat 50 pounds?! 👀🍉

🍉 GUESS THE WEIGHT! 🍉

We just picked this absolute MONSTER from our garden! 😂🌱 We knew it was getting big…but we weren’t quite prepared for THIS.

How much do you think our homegrown watermelon weighs?! 👀

👇 Drop your guess in the comments BEFORE we put it on the scale!

Closest guess gets bragging rights! 🍉🏆

Sometimes the most beautiful things are the ones that weren’t supposed to make it. 🌸

I planted zinnias in this raised bed, and somehow only one survived. Now she’s blooming all by herself in a sea of cowpeas.

No perfect row. No other flowers around her. Just one little zinnia that decided to grow anyway.

There’s something beautiful about that kind of resilience.

Grow where you’re planted. Bloom anyway. 🌸

Freshly washed and ready for breakfast!

Around here, we wait to wash our eggs until we’re ready to use them.

Fresh eggs have a natural protective coating called the bloom, which helps seal the tiny pores in the shell. Washing removes that protective layer, so instead of washing our eggs when we gather them, we leave them unwashed until it’s time to cook.

These beauties just got their wash, are drying on the towel, and are headed straight for the breakfast table. 🍳

Just one of the little things we’ve learned and grown to love about raising our own food. 🤍🐓

One of the many reasons we decided to have our own chickens is to have more control of our food source.

But we understand others don’t have the ability to raise their own chickens.

We’ve officially begun gathering enough eggs to start supplying our local community with !

We love our hens and they love us too! The Parrott & Pasture ladies are quite spoiled!

Currently, we have a very limited supply, but if you’re interested in getting a dozen eggs from us, DM us! We’d love to be your local egg supplier!
