Don’t let the plain white bag fool you—we put the money into the feed, not the packaging. We’ve been selling a pile of this stuff, and the repeat customers tell the story. It’s good feed, chickens do well on it, and people keep coming back for more. Top-tier performance at a price that still makes sense. Try CCFS Layer Pellets or Crumbles!

Silage season 2026 is officially underway!

That means long days, busy roads, chopped corn absolutely everywhere, and tractors and trucks moving nonstop.

We already have a bunch of piles booked for spray-on silage cover, and it’s a great option for a lot of operations. If you’re curious how it works or want to get on the schedule, give us a call!

And while we’re at it — please be careful on the roads during silage season.

Loaded silage trucks are heavy, they don’t stop quickly, and crews are often running the same routes all day long. Give them room, be patient, and don’t make a risky pass just to save 30 seconds.

Stay safe, watch for trucks, and have a good silage season!

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about drought-stressed forage and nitrates lately.

Corn, oats, millet, sorghum-sudan and even weeds like pigweed can build up dangerous nitrate levels during drought—especially toward the bottom of the plant.

If you’re concerned your forage may be high in nitrates, we can help get samples tested and build a safe feeding plan around the results.

Stop in or give us a call with any questions. Thanks, guys!

We are beginning to enter the busy part of creep season—but creep feed isn’t automatically the right answer for every group of calves.

Three situations where we would run the numbers before recommending creep:

1. Pasture is excellent and cows are milking hard.
If calves are already gaining extremely well, creep may replace some grass and milk instead of adding enough extra gain to justify the cost.

2. Calves will only have access to creep for a very short time.
It takes time for calves to learn to eat consistently. A short feeding period may not leave enough time to see the full benefit.

3. Feed conversion and calf value don’t pencil out.
Extra pounds are profitable only when the added value of those pounds is greater than the cost of putting them on.

Creep feed is a tool—not an automatic recommendation. Under the right conditions, it can add valuable pounds, reduce pressure on cows and pasture, and help calves handle weaning better.

Our goal isn’t simply to sell you feed. It’s to help determine whether creep can make money for your operation. Give us a call and we’ll gladly help run the numbers and build a feeding plan. Thank you for your business!
