The Interns turn 4 Friday and to celebrate we would like to offer anyone who stops by the Garden a FREE 4 oz soft serve with any purchase from the farm stand or pizza trailer! This is available from 12-6pm, when our soft serve machine is running.

There are so many parts of a working multi-generational farm and these Interns are often found frolicking in the fields, harvesting eggs, raspberries, strawberries, stealing Waynesville sodas from the farm stand, and eating tomatoes out of the high tunnel. We started our first season in the greenhouse with them in a playpen and they are one of the main reasons we are here.

We hope you can stop by and enjoy a soft serve and wish the Interns a happy 4th birthday!

See you in the Garden!

On Mondays we breathe and rest a little, if you can ever rest with toddler twins.
We strolled through the sunflower maze and collected some dried sunflowers as offerings for the chickens, which they love. I also love how autumn slowly creeps in, as leaves change and seed heads form, and you suddenly realize it’s October and time for pumpkins and wagon rides and crisp fall mornings.
We will have the sunflower maze comfortably for one more weekend and then begin our Fall Foliage Farm Tours. Visit www.thetenacregarden.com/events for more info.
