We are excited to have our eggs back on the menu at Farm to Cake Bakery!

Good Morning, Sweet Town!

Adam has hired more hardworking hens, and they’ve been busy laying the best, most wholesome eggs you can get. If you're paying a premium for eggs, you deserve a premium egg—and these are simply unbeatable!

That means farm-fresh eggs are making their way back to our bakery starting today!

🥚✨ We’re beyond excited to offer these wholesome, nutritious eggs again this year. According to Shady Brook Farm, commercial poultry was introduced to their farm in 2011 to enhance soil fertility and provide high-quality farm products. Their pasture-raised egg-laying hens and meat chickens follow the cattle, roaming freely 24/7 for a natural, nutrient-rich diet.

Trust us when we say—you can taste the difference! We can’t wait to scramble and bake with these incredible eggs and share them with you.

Thank you so much Adam! And everyone, have a wonderful day,
Debi

When it comes to poultry, is there a cut that fills the same role as ground beef? What I mean is, is there a cut of poultry that is as easy to use and as versatile as what ground beef is to beef?

Personally, I think shredded chicken fills that niche pretty well.

It may take a little more work to get it to that same point of usefulness but its possibilities are countless.

We like to start with a whole chicken and the instant pot. Once it’s cooked shredding it up doesn’t take long. From there it’s ready to use or freeze.

Helene aftermath:

Fortunately we didn’t suffer too much damage from the hurricane. The most concerning for us are the various places the mountain moved.

The one pictured needs some professional attention. It is right below the driveway and could eventually spell doom for the road.

I’m looking for recommendations for contractors that specialize in retaining walls. Let me know who you know.

I’m afraid of what’s it gonna cost, but it just can’t be left….

Why do I farm the way I farm? Short answer - my kids.

Sure raising meat chickens in a stationary barn is easier, faster and infinitely scalable.

But there is no question about how good chickens raised like this are.

My kids deserve the best. So do yours.

This may be this best ground beef we’ve ever offered.

We currently have a limited supply of blended ground brisket and chuck.

It’s a bit fattier than our regular ground beef, at closer to an 80/20 and definitely tastes richer!

We’ll have some with us at the this weekend, or you can always order on our website.
