We'd like you to say hello to Tiffany, our new kitchen manager for The Hungry Hiker. In this role, she is responsible for leading the food truck staff, as well as ordering, scheduling and overseeing all aspects of the truck.

Tiffany has served in various retail and food service roles throughout her entire working career. She's extra proud of her random 80s/90s/2000s pop culture knowledge, so be sure to challenge her with some questions and test her skills when you see her.

Our August food specials are sure to cool you down on a hot day. Inspired by one of our favorite grabs from a local store, we have a personal cold veggie pizza with with a homemade herbed cream cheese topped with shredded cheddar, shredded carrots, bell peppers, black olives and broccoli florets. And for dessert, there's an old family favorite - frozen strawberry margarita pie, with bright citrus notes of oranges and limes with fresh strawberries. No tequila was added so it can be enjoyed by everyone.

We are open and serving Wednesday through Friday from 4-8 pm and Saturday from 1-8 pm.

Oooooohhhhhh…..who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Chef Calder’s beloved Pineapple Under The Sea burger is our special for the whole month of July! You loved it before, come and enjoy it once (or more) again.

Annnnd our desert isn’t too shabby, either. We’ve got an order of deep-fried strawberries dusted with powdered sugar and drizzled with chocolate sauce. It’s something we’ve always wanted to try at the strawberry festivals, but never had a chance to, and boy were we missing out. They are soooo good.

Last but not least is a reimagined item for our summer menu - Basin’s Bruschetta. It now features a watermelon and feta mix atop toasted baguettes drizzled with balsamic glaze and basil. It’s light and refreshing with a crispy crunch.

School’s out for summer, and if your high-school-aged-child (Ideally young adults age 16) is looking for part-time, evening and weekend work, our food truck, The Hungry Hiker, has availability. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, prep work, cooking, taking customer orders, cleaning. Schedules are flexible and free shift meals as well as an employee discount on merchandise are provided.

We’re bringing back a staple for our summer menu - our Forest Foliage salad featuring a satisfying mix of strawberries, cucumber, feta cheese and croutons atop a bed of mixed greens. It is served with our Lost Trail ‘basecamp dressing’ which is similar to a white French.

In addition to our monthly specials, we launched our summer menu this week which includes the return of some old warm weather favorites as well as updates to existing items and the introduction of something new.

On our summit snacks appetizer menu, we added Trailhead Tomatoes - one of our personal summer favorites - four fried green tomatoes topped with goat cheese crumbles and drizzled with sweet Thai chili sauce.

They are great to share or keep them all for yourself!

You’re gonna feel like partying at the picnic with our June specials. We’ve got a Loj-wine-marinated Duma hot dog topped with brown sugar baked beans, bacon, crispy onions and Carolina gold barbecue sauce as well as a fresh, homemade raspberry peach cake topped with vanilla ice cream and fresh berries.

They’re both available all month long so be sure to check them out.

We’ve got one more who walked across the stage just yesterday! Congratulations to Broc - 2026 Field High School graduate. Broc will be joining the trades as his next adventure.

So wonderful to see the different trails these young adults are taking and be a small part of their journey.
