🚜 WEEKEND WANDERING: THE THREE-TIME CHARM 🚜
When someone texts you a photo of a fresh chocolate raspberry scone from a local farmstand you’ve been dying to check out, it’s no longer a suggestion. It’s a mission. 🕵️
So... is visiting the exact same farmstand three times in 48 hours acceptable? Asking for a friend! 😂
Take 1 (Friday Night): Quest denied. We decided to stop by, but missed the baking window.
Take 2 (Saturday Morning): We thought we'd be smart. Early bird gets the worm, right? After tanning at 7:30 AM, we headed over. Nope, not fully stocked yet! Facetious thoughts aside, we weren't giving up. We drove over to the Burg, ran a few errands, and headed straight back to Canton. We were determined!
Take 3 (The Charm): Mission complete! 🙌 Regulars were milling around, the shelves were overflowing, and I immediately started a literal balancing act trying to hold a homemade washcloth, a jar of jam, a dip mix, and two of those legendary chocolate raspberry scones.
I finally loaded my treasures into the back seat, said goodbye to a local girl, and was just about to climb into the front when it happened.
One of the amazing bakers strolled right past me carrying a fresh box. My nose instantly caught the scent. Warm banana bread.
Naturally, I turned right back around and went back inside.
Not even two minutes later, I get a text from the local girl :
“Did you forget something Leelee? I saw you go back in..." 🤦🏻♀️😂
Yup! Warm, fresh banana bread (which I promise I successfully saved to share at work!).
Gibson’s Farmstand (located at 286 Pike Road in Canton) is an absolute dream. It is packed with local maple products, fresh sourdough, jams, jellies, eggs, seasonal strawberries, and a bakery section that will completely steal your heart.
