Before USWM shipped beef to every corner of the United States and Puerto Rico, before Grassland Market, and before the many jobs, we’re proud to provide here in Canton, Missouri, there were four founding farmers in the Midwest with a shared commitment to raising food differently.
That commitment still runs through everything we do today.
Our owner and managing partner, John Wood, is pictured here with his son, Johnny Wood, a reminder that generational farming is one important piece of the puzzle when it comes to keeping our company, our land, and our values strong for generations to come.
At our roots, we are 100% grass-fed and grass-finished cattle farmers, rotationally grazing cattle on our regenerative farms. We care deeply about the health of our soil, animals, land, and most of all, our customers.
We’re incredibly proud of how far this little Midwest farming operation has come, but we haven’t forgotten where we started, or why we started.
And this week, we want to say thank you.
