Ever wonder what makes a true Italian Moscato so special? Here are a few fun facts behind our new trademarked wine, MEOWscato!

While we named this fun new release in honor of our famous winery cat, Truffles, the wine inside the bottle is an authentic, premium MOSCATO.

Moscato is a sweet, aromatic wine made from Muscat—an ancient family of wine grapes that has existed for thousands of years! This grape family goes back so far in history that it is believed Cleopatra’s favorite wine was actually Muscat-based.

Here is what else makes this historic Italian wine so unique:

The Sweet Name: The name Muscat comes from the Latin word muscus (meaning “musk”), chosen because of the grape’s sweet, intensely perfumed quality.

The Tasting Notes: When you swirl a glass of MEOWscato, vibrant aromas of orange blossom, honeysuckle, pear, peach, and apricot rise immediately out of the glass.

Unmatched Fragrance: Muscat grapes are so pungent that vineyard workers say the grapevines smell like the finished wine!

We wanted to dedicate a special wine to Truffles, our famous winery cat! After playing around with a few fun names (like MosCATo), we knew MEOWscato was the winner. In fact, we loved it so much that we officially trademarked it!
