SKC Pony Collection We are a family with a appreciation for a good pony! We started with the page SKC Livestock and recently branched our pony program out to its own page!

Hey everyone! Most of you guys know who we are and all about our original page SKC Livestock. For those of you who don’t know is here is a little backstory. We are Cheyenne and Levi, our kids are Kyler and Saylor and we have one on the way. When I was a little kid I loved ponies. When I got a little older I still LOVED ponies and now that I’m an adult with two kids and one on the way that passion

is still there! I have always appreciated how much a GOOD pony can completely make a child’s confidence soar! Children get independent early and the best way in my opinion to let that independence thrive is to get them a pony their size and let them figure it out. We have been posting ponies on our SKC Livestock page since it started, but now that the kids are old enough and they share my love for a good pony I thought it was time to give the ponies their own page. Ponies are different from a horse. They will either create a strong love and build confidence or scare your child off with one rotten move. I know this first hand
That’s why our program is a little different. We typically buy our ponies like we buy our geldings. Younger (under 6), attractive, and with a natural gentle nature. We keep them for an extended period of time (hence the name COLLECTION) to put them all the way through the program. Our program
When a pony first comes in he belongs to me, mom, solely for however long it takes to get him riding well, I ride said pony inside and out, haul him everywhere I go and just make sure there are no habits or secret little rotten desires in that little pony head of his before I send him on to Levi at the feed yard. Levi typically shows them the inside and outs of a full days work and all about a cow. He will rope on these ponies, sort and load trucks on them. After that they come back to mom for a lesson pony and then the kids usually take over. They are the real makers of the pony at our house. They torture these ponies, ride them all over gods green earth, push cattle off them rope the dummy, ride them in parades, go check cattle on them outside, take them to play days, you name it they will try it on these ponies. After all of that commotion you have a well broke, light a bomb off beside him, ride him through fire, kind of pony. We then take the pictures and the videos and post them on this page for you guys to enjoy. We have had great luck selling these ponies this way and our kids sure like it. We are hard on our crew of ponies and that’s what makes them so dang good. They’re the kind of ponies your child will learn and blossom with and when they’re done you will want to pass them down through your family! We want more future horseman in the world! Therefor we want to only sell ponies that create that passion and desire not ponies that would deter a child from wanting to go on in the horse world! Every one of our ponies is guaranteed completely sound and sane. We also guarantee them to be exactly like we say they are. We will always post all of a ponies strengths and weaknesses. We have a great reputation for our ponies and work hard to keep it that way. If you buy a pony from us and end up wanting lessons, or just a tune up we can arrange that as well as shipping. This is absolutely one of the best ponies we have had through our program! He puts a smile on everyone’s face when you walk out to his pen and he come trotting to meet you!
His personality and demeanor are second to none, he’s kind loving, likes attention and so so gentle ALL of the time! This pony would live on the bottom bunk of our boys room if we let him! He’d like nothing more than to spend every hour with little ones.

But cupcakes training is also second to none. He has taught many kids to ride, been used for lessons and this pony is 𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙠𝙚! Lopes around so cute, stops perfect, tracks the steers and the dummy, will babysit the toddlers all day and then ride off perfect and be a ball of fun for our 11 and 9 yr olds. He’s gathered tons of cattle, went on numerous joy rides through our town, been trail rode at the palo duro canyon and Canadian river, and been taken along to all the Jr rodeos and play days we got to. He’s 𝙎𝘼𝙁𝙀, heavy machinery, semis, load dogs, tarps, fireworks, he’s seen it all and he’s our pick every time we need a sure shot babysitter!

Cupcake has also been taught to sit and lie down! It’s so fun for our kids to tap him on the shoulder and let him lay down while they crawl on and ride up. Cupcake is incredibly smart and only wants to please, anything our kids have shown him he picks right up!

Cupcake is the ultimate starter pony and he will last your kiddos for years and years! Please call us with any questions!

Jackie is the cutest 12.1 hands bay roan pony mare you have ever laid eyes on. She’s the most perfect size with a sweet kind disposition a willing attitude and so so broke and gentle!!

Jackie’s resume is a long one so get ready! She’s been used for all the events at the playdays and Jr rodeos. She will go whatever speed you ask. Our kids have used her to gather, brand and ship cattle, she’s solid and quiet. She’s also been used to carry the flag in the grand entry, ridden in parades downtown, taken on many trail rides to the Palo Duro Canyon and the Canadian River and she’s even been rode English! Jackie is truly a versatile all around pony we just can’t say enough good about her!

My absolute favorite thing about Jackie is she NEVER gets fresh. Even when we leave her off for a long period of time, our little ones can still go catch her out of a pasture crawl on ba****ck and go for a joy ride. She’s happy to go!
It’s not un common to see our kids and their friends riding Jackie double after school to the neighbors house, or going to rope the sled, they have even rode her around fireworks and gun fire. Nothing phases her, she’s is a dream pony for any age or level child.

Jackie is broke broke too. She neck reins around with ease and trots smooth and has a soft lope. She has a spin that will make dads big horse look bad, stops like she should and side passes both ways. You can open and close gates on her use her to load trucks, pony colts, whatever you need she’s more than capable!

Jackie is the kind of pony that adapts to any level of child. from the little beginners to the kids that want to lope through the payday events or go rope a calf with dad Jackie fits the bill! She is truly one of a kind!

Kit Kat is the brokest little starter pony!

Light light in the face, guides around wherever they want to go. Stays gentle even after he sits for a while. Can kick him out with other horses or do like our kids and keep him in the yard 🫣🤣

He has a gentleman like personality. Vet kind but very respectful of the little guys. He will follow them literally anywhere and wait on them all day.

He’s been hauled around with us to the jr rodeos and the play days. He’s been hauled out to the river he crosses water and obstacles quietly. He’s is a SAINT. This pony is 7 and 9.3 hands tall!

Spur is a 12.1 hand black pony that rides and drives, has a kind personality and is beginner suitable. Spur takes both leads has a smooth trot and lope and a great stop. He guides around light and is easy for little arms to steer. He’s super quiet on the ground and very nice to be around. Spur is easy to catch good with his feet good with other horses or ponies. He’s been hauled along to some Jr rodeos and hauled to the canyon. He crosses water and obstacles quietly and safe. He’s been used to gather the roping steers and push other cattle. This is a safe handy sized pony that could make a good little Jr rodeo pony or just teach a kiddo to ride or be fun to harness and drive around town!
