Hi, it’s Birdie & Georgie 🐾

Our role on the farm is to supervise the flock, keep hens safe, inspect egg production… and occasionally steal a few scraps.

DM our humans to order eggs now. Mom will even deliver!!

Ever wonder why we have less eggs in the winter? Chickens lay fewer eggs in winter because egg production is triggered by daylight, not temperature...in fact the girls prefer cooler temps over warmer temps. As days get shorter, their hormones tell them to slow down and conserve energy. When winter laying slows down we hoard eggs for ourselves so we are getting more protein to manage chores in the cold 😆

With the recent sunshine we have enough to share with you, 0️⃣2️⃣ dozen available!!

Farming isn’t always peaceful fields and happy animals. Some days, it’s heartbreak. We lost a baby chick today, and yesterday, one of our hens. No matter how much care we give, loss still finds its way in — and it never gets easier.

Farming is full of joy, but it’s also full of hard days like this. Days where the weight of loving and losing settles heavy on your chest. But we keep going — for the ones we’ve lost and the ones still with us.

Hug your farmers a little tighter today. And if you’ve got a soft spot for chickens, maybe send a little love their way too.

Hi guys!! My Moms dropped off 5 dozen eggs .lauries this morning, just in time for Easter! $5 per dozen 😘

We took a little “vacation” right here on the farm and put in some serious work...we call that a farmcation. It's like a regular vacation but with more dirt under your nails.

Our three garden boxes got a full glow-up with new treated lumber and we added two cattle panel trellises. We’re so excited to grow vertically this year!
