At this time the rules for wineries/manufacturers of wine remain as they were last year: 1) Masks must be worn at all times unless seated at your table; 2) Food must be purchased with wine tastings and glasses of wine (snacks are available from $.50-$4.00); 3) 6 ft social distancing between tables; 4) Groups over 6 require a reservation. Until we can seat outside, the maximum group size will be 8.

And as last season...the fun has not been cancelled 😊

Beef: Cab Sauv, Marq Corse', Front Reserve, Rouge, Sunset. Ham/turkey/lamb: Pinot Gris, Riesling, Marq Rose', Nouveau, Blanc. Go to thecapewinery.com for prices. It's always a good time to celebrate LOVE, but especially with Valentine's Day fast approaching! Some wine is just what you need to gift to that special someone and the perfect pairing will take your romantic dinner to new heights. We are offering a Valentine's Day special with free shipping on 3 or more bottles which will automatically be applied with our online shopping at thecapewinery.com. Happy New Year from all of us at the winery. I know we all share in the hope that 2021 will bring us more normalcy as the year goes on. We do thank our customers for your support during this odd time and through all the changing requirements. The tasting room is now closed, but don't worry you can still arrange a curb side pickup by calling the winery at 315.654.3218. If you happen to drop by the winery, give us a call and if we are around we'll pull your order together for you. The tasting room will re-open on April 2nd. We will certainly miss seeing you (even under a mask). Until then...stay healthy, happy and safe!!

Merry Christmas from our winery, our house, and our family to yours! Peace is the theme for us. It has been a tumultuous end to a tumultuous year for our family and many of you. But, we look ahead with optimism to a new year.

Thank you for supporting our small family farm winery in this past year of uncertainty. We met many New Yorkers who vacationed within the state and came to our beautiful 1000 Islands region for the first time…and they all said they will be back. So many conversations of vacations cancelled, weddings downsized, etc., etc. But still a smile on all of their faces. That is us, resilient.

We will be closed Christmas Day observing the holiday and spending time with farm family. We will be open 11-5 for bottle sales Christmas Eve and then Dec 26 through New Years Day. Tastings are suspended until we open in the spring when we are hoping for healthier times. Happy Holidays!!

Yes…you can get mulled wine all ready to warm and serve! We have had orders for prepared mulled wine and decided we should let everyone know. Give us a day’s notice (or at least a few hours) and we can have it cooled and bottled. The pandemic modified liquor laws currently allow for us to offer this service. Or, if you want to make it yourself, just stop by for a bottle of Deux Chevaux Rouge and the recipe that we created for this wine which will make you the best mulled wine ever. A great winter treat!

We finally got our wine moving!! We have partnered with a shipper that can ship to most states. If you go to our website thecapewinery.com you will see a list of the states where we can ship on the front page and on the bottom of all the WINE pages. To order hit the new SHOP ONLINE button and it will bring up a separate tab to place your order. There is a glitch with our web server provider so you can't order from the WINE pages themselves. We've already received and shipped a few orders so indeed it works!! There are some holiday shipping specials so bring on the holiday cheer (don't we all need some)🍷

We are sorry to inform our customers that we are no longer doing wine tastings. The winery is open for bottle purchase only which can be done in the tasting room or by phone with curbside pickup. We are also heartbroken to say that we have lost our dear sister-in-law to COVID. We also want to be very clear that THERE HAS BEEN NO COVID CONTACT IN THE TASTING ROOM. We have not seen our sister-in-law, or any local family members in months. As a member of our farm family is having surgery this week, we feel it is safest for our family to limit our contact to both parties wearing masks at all times.

We want to thank everyone as we did have our best ‘Shop Small Saturday’ ever and we do appreciate your support of our local business. We are also getting very close to being able to ship to most states and will notify you when that is available. Once again, we are open, just not doing tastings so please call and order your wine or stop by and we will take care of you.

Stay safe and healthy!! We’ll all get through this together.
