Okay… I’m actually really proud of this. 🥹❤️

There’s something about opening the pantry and seeing jars of food that WE grew, cooked, preserved, and put away that just feels different.

Is it perfect? Nope.
Is my pantry Pinterest-worthy? Also nope. 😂
But it’s FULL of food my family can actually eat, and I’m learning more every season.

This started with a few jars… and now I’m ready for MORE.

More canning.
More preserving.
More growing.
More learning how to put food back instead of constantly buying it.

Little by little, we’re building the kind of home I’ve always wanted. 🌱🏡

And honestly? I’m pretty proud of myself. ❤️

A farmstand request turned into a late-night kitchen experiment. 🍪🤍

Someone requested Cookies & Cream cinnamon rolls, so I've spent the last little while researching recipes and trying to figure out exactly how I wanted to tackle them.

Tonight I finally gave it a shot.

I ended up taking ideas from three different recipes, combining them, changing things around, and making my own version.

Oreo went into the dough, then came the Oreo-loaded filling and a creamy Oreo layer. After proofing, I added a little heavy cream before baking, then finished them with cream cheese frosting and even more crushed Oreos.

And after all that… my family are big fans. 😍🤩The hubby even thinks these are better than his Chocolate Fudge Birthday Cake. I'm thinking about making a cosmic brownie version using that recipe. 🤔 I need to research first.

Are they perfect? No. This was the first test batch, and I already know a couple things I'll tweak next time.

But that's the fun of making things from scratch. You make it, taste it, take notes, and make it better.

For a first attempt at something I've never made before, I'm calling this one a win.

A Little Unexpected Blessing 🌱❤️

Someone stopped by our little farmstand today and left an unexpected blessing in our money jar.

I have a pretty good idea who it may have been, but I don't know for certain. Whoever it was, I hope you know how deeply appreciated it is. ❤️

This isn't really about what was left. It's about the kindness and the timing.

This has been a week of unexpected changes, hard emotions, and a lot of stepping forward in faith. I've tried my best not to let the things of this world, or the things that have happened this week, take away the blessings that God has already placed in my life.

I've prayed for God to remove the anger, the hurt, the resentment, and any ugliness from my heart. I've prayed for the strength to forgive, let go, and move forward in faith instead of carrying something that was never meant to follow me into my next season.

And then, after the dust settled a little, this happened.

A quiet little reminder that God is still good. He is still working. And kindness still matters.

Sometimes we do something for someone simply because we can. We don't do it expecting anything in return. We just hope we've made someone's day a little easier.

And sometimes, kindness finds its way back to you when you least expect it. 🥹

“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” — Proverbs 11:25

To whoever left this for our family: I pray God blesses you beyond measure. I pray the kindness you've shown comes back to you in ways you never expected. The world needs more people like you. Thank you for showing us kindness when we have been questioning it. ❤️

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who supports our little homestead.....whether it's buying something from the stand, sharing a post, encouraging us, or simply cheering us on from afar.

This was just another beautiful reminder that God sees us, even in the hard seasons. He is still present, and still walking with us as we move forward in faith.

So we'll keep planting good things, keep working with our hands, keep loving our people, and keep trusting Him with the harvest. 🌱☀️

🌱☀️ A LITTLE HOMESTEAD PHOTO DUMP ☀️🌱

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” Isaiah 43:18–19 🤍

The last little while has been a season of pushing through some mental hurdles, taking things one day at a time, and trusting God even when we couldn’t quite see what was ahead.

But God is still so, so good. 🙏🏼 He opened a door we desperately needed, reminded us that His timing is always better than ours, and gave us a fresh reason to look forward.

So here’s to new beginnings, new seasons, and new growth. 🌱

We’re soaking up this second sprint of summer ☀️, making the most of what’s left of this growing season, and watching our little homestead continue to grow right alongside us.

Sometimes a new season doesn’t look like starting over. Sometimes it looks like realizing you made it through the hard part and there’s still so much beauty waiting on the other side. 🤍
