Great to see Chardonel getting a mention. It’s one of our prized white varieties in the Shawnee Hills. It’s also the variety that we use for Terrapene!

Developed at Cornell University in 1953 for its winter hardiness, this late-ripening hybrid grows all over the East Coast and parts of the Midwest.

Great news! Morchella received a gold medal 🥇 by scoring 91 points at the 2024 Harvest Terroir Challenge in California. This is the only wine competition where wines are judged against other wines based on growing region. The judges had these kind words to say about it:

“Great marrying of grape varieties. Abundant mix of wild fruits. Great representation of the region.”

Terrapene also won a silver medal! 🥈
