First let me start by saying we have purchased many products from Prenier1 and have no complaints but this one is REALLY disappointing.

So, if you're a small chicken farmer like us, you too are always looking for a better watering system. I'm not sure how many we have tried but many...and they are NOT cheap!

The Premier1 OPTIMUS POULTRY WATERER, 6 gallon is no exception. With tax & shipping the total was: $82.73

Now here is the most frustrating thing about this product: I LOVE THE CONCEPT AND THE QUALITY - with one exception. The removable pan falls our when bumped by the chickens and the water (often full) immediately drains out!

I tried to fix the problem by adding clamps first but alas they too would get bumped by the chickens and fall off allowing the tray to drop...losing all the water.

My second attempt to re-engineer was to simply drill holes on both sides of the molded 'clip' (...and the point of failure in the original engineering & manufacturing) with 2 aluminum nails in an attempt to hold it in place...but NOPE, there is just enough room for the tray to move from its rest and fall down! sigh sigh sign

ANY SUGGESTIONS?

And since I've altered the container I'm sure I've voided the warranty, so there's that.

High-capacity 6-gallon waterer for chickens, ducks, geese, and other poultry. Innovative tank design is easy to clean and resistant to algae.
