Only the best strawberries make it to your kitchen. We assess each one, sort and weigh them into one pound quart containers. Stop by the farmstand this weekend, order a delivery for Monday, order online through LEAF or schedule a pickup anytime by calling or texting 815-325-5301

The final count is 30 baby lambs for this round of lambing season. And all those lambs are having a blast in this cool spring weather. Happy farm animals here at Well House Farmstead.

Here's one of our semi- temporary shade shelters as we wait for our Hazelnuts, Butternuts and Chestnuts to grow big enough to shade. At around $140 each they shade a decent sized area for the anticipated 50 sheep we will have this year. Supplies include six t-posts, a 16ft x 20ft heavy duty tarp, heavy duty zip ties and three 16ft cattle panels. If you need more instructions on how to build these, just reach out to us.

Night time shenanigans here on the farm. They typically have 2 lambs each. And they thrive in cool weather. So when we go out at night to check on birthing ewes we see this jungle gym of chaos. We are anticipating around 30 lambs this year. It's going to be crazy.
