Join us on Saturday, June 27th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Somewhere in Time Bookshop, 29 S. Main St., Webb City, MO for a special day celebrating local agriculture, handcrafted products, and community!

HSH Farms is a family-owned farm near Carl Junction, Missouri. Since 2015, we’ve been dedicated to growing high-quality berries, cultivating beautiful lavender fields, and creating meaningful farm experiences for our community.

We specialize in organically grown strawberries and Ponca blackberries and offer seasonal U-Pick experiences, pre-picked berry orders, and farm-fresh products. Along with our berries, we create homemade jams, baked goods, handcrafted tea blends, and lavender products made with ingredients grown right here on our farm.

Our farm is passionate about connecting families to agriculture through local events, farmers markets, educational opportunities, farm tours, and hands-on experiences.

💥HSH Farms Blackberry Update 🌸

The blackberries are finally starting to roll in!

Today brought a special first harvest moment as Emric picked one of the first ripe Ponca blackberries of the season. There aren’t enough ripe berries for U-Pick just yet, but every day we’re seeing more berries turn that beautiful deep black color.

The buckwheat cover crop is coming along nicely in the old strawberry field and is helping build healthy soil for the future. While we wait on the blackberry rows to fully load up, we’re staying busy preparing the farm for another great season.

The countdown is officially on! ⏳

Who is ready for fresh Ponca blackberries, homemade blackberry jam, and Ma’s Blackberry Tarts? 🥧

🚨 BLACKBERRY UPDATE FROM HSH FARMS 🚨

The Ponca blackberries are finally starting to roll in! 🌞🍇

Tonight’s walk through the patch brought us our biggest picking yet, and there are thousands more berries turning color every day.

This is our first production year with 900 Ponca blackberry plants, and we’re excited to see the hard work paying off. The berries are sweet, juicy, and getting bigger by the day!

We’re not quite at full harvest yet, but we’re getting very close. Keep watching our page for U-Pick and pre-picked availability announcements.

🐝 New Residents Coming to HSH Farms! 🐝

What an exciting evening in the blackberry patch! While checking on our Ponca blackberries, we discovered a swarm of hundreds of honey bees gathered on one of our trellis rows.

Zach was able to safely capture the swarm, and they’ll soon be moved into a bee box to become Hive #4 here at HSH Farms! 🌿🍯

Honey bees are essential partners on the farm, helping pollinate our crops and supporting healthy harvests. We’re excited to add another hive to our growing apiary and give these hardworking pollinators a permanent home.

Farm life is full of surprises, and tonight’s surprise was a good one! 🐝

🌱 Cover Crop Update 🌱

After tearing out the strawberries, we planted an acre of buckwheat to improve soil health for next year’s crop. Thanks to last night’s rain, the field is already coming to life!

Buckwheat helps build organic matter, attracts pollinators, suppresses weeds, and prepares the soil for the 40,000 strawberry plugs we’ll be planting this fall.

It’s amazing how much growth can happen in just a few days. Stay tuned as we watch this field transform over the coming weeks!

😎😎GETTING CLOSE!!!

The first Ponca blackberries are starting to turn, and every day more berries are ripening across the field! 🌱☀️

After months of pruning, training canes, irrigating, and caring for nearly 900 blackberry plants, we’re finally seeing the rewards. These plants are absolutely loaded, and harvest season is right around the corner!

Just look at those clusters! 💜 From bright red to deep black, the patch is changing fast. If the weather cooperates, we’ll be filling buckets before you know it.

🌱🚜 Farm Update! 🚜🌱

We’ve been busy at HSH Farms!

The strawberries have been removed, the field has been tilled, and we’ve planted a buckwheat cover crop. Now we’re ready for some rain to help it grow! 🌧️

While we wait for our Ponca blackberries to finish ripening, we’re working hard behind the scenes to build healthier soil and prepare for future crops. The blackberry plants are loaded, and harvest season is getting closer every day!
