👀 Calling all artists and business owners! We have a great marketing opportunity!!!

We are offering 10 spots to local artists or businesses to compete in our 2nd Annual Straw Bale Decorating Contest!!! We currently have 7 spots left!

We had a great turnout last year, and it was fun to see everyone’s creativity!

Anyone who would like to advertise for their business, organization, or would like to compete for fun is welcome!

All 10 bales will be on our farm for all of our farm attendees to see. Farm attendees will vote for their favorite straw bale.

Sign up starts today! Straw bales will be available to start decorating on 9/1/26. The contest will begin on our opening weekend 9/19/26. The contest cost is $50 to cover your straw bale. You may place a sign by your bale to advertise for your business!
Contest ends 10/31/26 at 7pm.

The winner will receive a $100 gift basket from The Mitten Cafe and Bakeshop, and bragging rights as the 2nd Annual Straw Bale Decorating Champion!

Flower update!

Should have some pretty solid sunflowers in the next few days! I think this is the first year, some prime flowers opened on a weekend!

Looking forward to some full blooms!

Flower update!!

Sunflower patch #1 has two flowers peaking open! In the next 3-5 days they should really come to life!

New Zinnias have been popping open every day! Looking forward to this patch filling out!

Sunflower patch #2 (aug 15ish flowers) didn’t have the best germination in the sandy area in the middle. This patch won’t be as thick as patch #1, but will allow some space to wander in the flowers for pictures. Will have the tree line as a back drop with setting sun behind the trees!
