Horse farm in Carleton looking for an individual to help with farm chores. Job includes feeding, cleaning stalls, turn out/bring in, watering, and light farm upkeep. We have 20 stalls, currently 21 horses and a wait list. Horse experience and reliable transportation are requirements. I have recently gone on an animal cruelty case involving Sumpter Township Police. The man is being charged and there are 12 horses and 4 dogs that need to be relocated due to a court ordered seizure of the animals. Mary Anthonis of Loving Arms Rescue is the contact for organizing the removal of seized animals. We need help. We need volunteers with horse trailers to help move the horses. We also need a place for the horses to go! Mary has a very full barn of rescues herself and is in need of help from others. Please pass this post along to horse friends. Please help us try to find a place for these poor neglected horses. They are all very thin, but fortunately none seem to have any major medical problems. Please contact me at (734)341-0358 or Mary at (734)262-2003. The seizure is happening WEDNESDAY, November 27, 2013. We are on a tight time frame and any assistance would help.

We are looking to hire someone on the farm. We have an amazing woman who works Monday - Friday who is going to be hard to replace. She is moving out of state beginning of November. Job duties include feeding horses morning and night, turnout and bring in (weather permitting), and cleaning 20 stalls. Experience with horses is a mandatory requirement. please contact me about pay.
