Different Versions of Success ❤️🐐

For the exhibitors who buy our goats, buckles and banners are their goal - and we love helping them achieve it! But as a farm, our goal is entirely different. Our success is measured by provision.

Our mission is to provide competitive market goats at a reasonable price. Selling mid-range show goats at a set price is dying out, but it is exactly how we built our own success in the ring. We intentionally keep our animals priced as low as we can because we want to open doors for families who might otherwise never get the chance to step into the show ring with a nice goat. Our job is to give them the opportunity and then support them through the project.

We recently received this note from one of our showmen, and it perfectly captures what true success looks like to us.

If success means building a supportive barn family, keeping youth agriculture accessible, and teaching life lessons that outlast the show ring... then we are exactly where we want to be. I hear a lot of whispers on how I need to step up to the next level, but I feel like I am filling a need and I am working with purpose so I’m perfectly content right here.

To all our farm families: thank you for letting us provide for your journey. We’ll keep raising the goats, and we’ll keep cheering you on as you chase those banners!

When our goats are born, I watch them and handle them regularly. I see personality patterns and growth potential and I start thinking about who would be the right type of showman for each one.

When the barn finally opens for sales, I watch every single kid handle the goats, I talk to their parents, and then I recommend the a placing from one of our goats or I send them to someone who may have a better fit.

The Hendrix family have bought goats from us for several years so I already follow their progress, and as soon as this goat started developing I started thinking about Kate. Turns out Kate and Kirby (Joint Custody x Castle) were the perfect fit for each other and they've been collecting novice showmanship banners all summer!

I love it when a plan comes together. 😃

If anyone is interested in some pet quality does, I have three available. They are all healthy and friendly, but I don't recommend breeding them for various reasons. I will try to get some pictures and details later today.
