Eggs have officially slowed down. We have 9 broody hens total at the moment. 3 have babies on the ground and have decided to raise them together. They will all three lay down and let the little rugrats run back and forth between the three of them. It's takes a village. The other 6 hens are currently sitting on eggs. I love this time of year other than the heat!!

Still have 11-1 week old chicks looking for a new coop. Rooster is a very docile Black Australorp. Some of the hens are black australorp, Ameraucana, olive egger, mystic maran, ayam cemani, silver laced wyandotte, starlight Green Egger, and pararie bluebell egger.

2-7 week old roosters already outside. One is a black australorp/Mystic maran mix and the other is a black australorp/Olive Egger mix.

We have baby chicks!! Out of 20 chicks, there is one special grey chick. Those Black Australorp genes run strong in these babies. They are barnyard mixes. Roo is a very docile Black Australorp. Some of the hens are Mystic Marans, Saphire Olive Egger, Black Australorp, starlight Green Eggers, and RIR. Hatch Date: 4/23/24 and 4/27/24.

Hatch day is finally here!!!

These little cuties will be looking for a new coop. They are barnyard mixes, straight run
-Rooster is a Black Australorp that is as docile as they come.
-some of the hens are Mystic Marans, Saphire Olive Egger, Ameraucana, Starlight Green Egger, RIR, Black Australorp, and Ayam Cemani.

Between the incubator and the Broody Hen, I should have around 28 chicks!!!!
