Unger Farms Fall Time Position
We are looking for part time employees for this fall to help with harvest that could turn into a full time position. You would be expected to drive a semi on a regular basis and operate farm equipment occasionally. Some experience would be encouraged but not mandatory. Got started side dressing corn today. Need more sunny and windy days to try to fix some of the problems from all the rain the last two weeks. Hopefully finish up planting next week if the weather permits.

Started putting soybeans in the ground today. After getting the bugs worked out of the new planter, it planted great.

Got to run the first couple of tanks of gas today. Hope it all runs this good. Looking forward to a great spring and growing season.

Adding a few drainage ditches and fixing more clay tile. Getting ready for an early spring. Got to switch back to hauling corn for a couple of weeks starting tomorrow.

Replaced some clay tile and going to make a couple of terraces. Great weather to make improvements to fields. Getting ready for a great 2017.

Taking advantage of the beautiful weather, cleaning up a ditch to make it easier to maintain. Then on to tree lines and drainage ditches. Spring feels like it is here.

Glad no one was hurt. Equipment can be fixed or replaced. With spring coming up please be patient around equipment. Trying to rush is not only dangerous for you, but the driver of the equipment as well.

Indiana State Police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Friday afternoon in Sullivan County.

Merry Christmas from everyone here at Unger Farms. Hope everyone has a great day and remembers the reason for the season. The girls can now start getting lessons on fixing equipment.
