Rated 99 points by James Suckling, the 2020 Château Lynch-Bages is earning extraordinary praise from the critics — and with good reason.
James Suckling highlights its beautifully layered blackcurrant fruit and “cashmere” tannins. Jane Anson calls it “pure Pauillac,” praising its slate, pencil lead and remarkable precision. Decanter describes it as one of the favourites of the vintage, packed with energy, graphite-laced tannins and a long mineral finish. Besides, 2020 was the first vintage produced in the estate’s new winery.
Powerful yet poised, structured yet vibrant — a Lynch-Bages with serious long-term potential.
