🌊 Help Us Protect the Agua Hedionda Lagoon 🌊
As many of you may or may not have heard, we will be ceasing farming operations at our current location and moving out. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all our customers and supporters for their unwavering concern, support, and kind words during this transitional phase at Carlsbad Aquafarm. Your loyalty and encouragement have meant the world to us.
As we move forward, our focus will shift towards coastline restoration. This new chapter is exciting, and we are deeply committed to making a positive impact on our environment. We hope you’ll continue to be a part of our journey.
We’re raising funds to responsibly remove our shellfish rigging—a vital step in ensuring the sustainability and vitality of the Agua Hedionda Lagoon.
Our Goals:
Reclaim Oyster Shells: We’ll be using reclaimed shells to create natural reefs, helping to restore the lagoon’s fragile shorelines.
Remove Rigging: We’re committed to safely removing all oyster and mussel rigging from the lagoon to prevent any environmental impact.
Donate Equipment: Usable equipment will be donated to other shellfish farms at no cost, supporting sustainable aquaculture in the region.
