Rooted in ancient marine sedimentary sandstone, Abbott Claim Vineyard is shaped by soils that are remarkably lean and well-drained. These conditions naturally limit vine vigor, encouraging small, concentrated berries that contribute to the structure, depth, and distinctive texture of our Pinot Noir.

For Winemaker Alban Debeaulieu, preserving the influence of this geology is central to our philosophy. Rather than imposing a particular style, we allow the vineyard's natural character to define the w**es.

For Devin, our Director of Hospitality and Sales, the 2023 Eola-Amity Hills Chardonnay is a compelling expression of a region he believes has an extraordinary future with the variety. As the first fruit of the 2026 harvest arrives in the cellar, our philosophy remains unchanged.

The fruit arrives with its own balance, aroma, and character. Rather than applying a fixed recipe in the cellar, we make thoughtful decisions throughout fermentation to protect what the vineyard has given us.

We watch closely, intervene only when necessary, and allow the vineyard and vintage to remain at the center of the finished w**e.
