Every great whiskey is a promise kept to its grain. Bull Run's Single Malt, born from Klamath Basin malted barley and aged in new American oak, meets Stone Barn Brandyworks' Oat Whiskey, crafted from organic Willamette Valley oats. The result is an Oregon expression that couldn't have come from anywhere else.

When we set out to make something special for the Oregon Whiskey Festival, we wanted an Oregon-centric bottle that expressed the genuine friendship and camaraderie we have with Stone Barn Brandyworks. That vision became Malted Oath, an oath to Oregon grain.

Come try our Single Malt & Oat Whiskey blend this Saturday, September 19th, at the 6th Annual Oregon Whiskey Festival. Join us in beautiful Bend to taste, learn, meet distillers from premier Oregon distilleries, and gather with fellow whiskey lovers for a full day of whiskey tastings, food trucks, live music, and whiskey cocktails. This weekend's special: a Bloody Mary featuring garlic-infused Medoyeff Vodka and Portland Bloody Mary Mix. This was a huge hit at the Clatskanie Garlic Festival, and if anyone knows garlic, it’s them. If you weren’t able to attend, now you have the chance to try it for yourself. Plus, we have all the trappings for you to make your own at home (minus the garlic-infused vodka, that’s a tasting room exclusive for this weekend). And the perfect cherry on top, or olive rather, these locally made, handcrafted Ruinette Olive Cocktail picks.

It’s days like National Pinot Noir Day that remind us of how lucky we are to be living right here in Oregon Wine Country. We certainly haven’t been shy about our love for wine, its makers, and the barrel finishing process. It’s hard not to when it has helped bring to life some of our favorite spirits. Like our award-winning best-seller, Pinot Noir Finished American Whiskey. Currently aged at 17 years, you can find this celebration of wine and whiskey in our tasting rooms, at your favorite liquor store(hopefully), and online via Touch of Mexico (link below).

It’s truly been a pleasure collaborating with local winemakers over the years, including our friends at Cana's Feast Winery. Not only is their beautiful winery just a stone’s throw from our Carlton Post, but they helped us launch our very first barrel finished whiskey back in 2014. Our brand-new batch of Chinato Finished Bourbon will be featured alongside our Pinot Noir Finished American Whiskey this Sunday at Italy in the Valley. We wish we could donate to every nonprofit and fundraising event that comes our way. Supporting our community, especially for a great cause, means a lot to us. Yamhill Carlton Together Cares is exactly that. Since 1998, YCTC has been a grassroots effort serving youth and families in the Yamhill and Carlton area, focused on "providing youth with useful roles in the community, safe and healthy activities to participate in, and good role models."

We were happy to donate spirits for their annual Flavors event, and the Wandering Wildflowers team certainly did something special with them. A Lavender Tom Collins made with our Slabtown Barrel Reserve Gin and a Bourbon Peach Sweet Tea featuring our Straight Bourbon. Obviously, both were a hit.
