I have little cockerels (roosters)available for local pick up. There is two Lavender Marans if anyone could use them for a breeding project, im not keeping them because they do not have feathers on their feet. There is also black copper Marans and olive eggers most of the olive eggers are dark blue in color. Let me know if you need one for a breeding project or to be a flock protector. They are vaccinated for mareks. They are 3-4 weeks old so they need heat at night but go outside during the day.

Im always so grateful that my kids can play among our chickens without a fear of what my roosters will do. Its such a gift for my daughters to have different animals to bond with.
I brought home some vegetable scraps from work and my 6 year sat in the chicken area “making the chickens dinner”.
If you have a chance to get a rooster from someone who pays attention to temperament its worth it. I feel like my boys and I have a working relationship to keep our hens safe healthy and fed. There is a true order and respect in my flock and I owe it to them because let’s face it a flock of hens can be quite mean to each other.
