SO, WHY ISN’T THERE MORE PRODUCE?
We’ve been getting some questions about why our produce selection isn’t quite as extensive as some may expect from an online farmers market, so we wanted to give you a little behind-the-scenes look at what’s happening.
First, Farmstand Society is still a young company. We’re growing alongside our vendors, and many of the farms we’d love to have involved already had their crops committed to physical farmers markets. They’re watching our growth and the demand we’re creating so they can determine how Farmstand Society can fit into their production for future seasons.
The growers we currently work with are also small-scale farms. Unlike larger agricultural operations, many don’t have extensive greenhouses, or infrastructure that allows them to control growing conditions or extend their seasons.
And then there’s this growing season… 🌦️
The weather has been extremely unpredictable and unfortunately, some of our growers have experienced crop losses that have directly affected the inventory they expected to have available.
But this is where Farmstand Society can make a difference.
As we grow, our goal is to help create enough demand and growth for these smaller farms to invest in infrastructure, improve their growing capabilities, and ultimately produce more for our community.
We are also open to bringing in wholesale-grown produce when necessary, provided it meets our standards, including being within our market radius and grown using clean, organic practices.
The challenge is that wholesale purchasing works differently from our made-to-order model. Once we purchase that produce, it belongs to Farmstand Society whether it sells or not. That creates the potential for financial loss and food waste, two things that don’t align with how we’ve intentionally built this business.
So instead, we’re watching.
We’re tracking what you’re looking for, what you’re buying, what sells out, and where demand is growing so we can make smart investments across Farmstand Society with intention.

🌿 **MEET OUR VENDORS: EMI’S GARDEN** 🌿

We’re kicking off a new Farmstand Society series where we go beyond the products and introduce you to the **people behind the businesses** that make our community so special.

First up is **Lisa, Co-Founder of Emi’s Garden!**

You may know Emi’s Garden for their delicious **small-batch granolas and thoughtfully crafted herbal teas**, but today we’re giving you a chance to get to know the person behind the products.

In our first vendor interview, Lisa shares a little about **the story behind Emi’s Garden, what inspires their products, and why creating high-quality, thoughtfully made offerings is so important to them.**

We love getting to know the people who pour their time, passion, and creativity into the products you find on Farmstand—and we think you’ll love getting to know them too.

**Watch the video to meet Lisa and learn more about Emi’s Garden!**

And while you’re getting to know them, don’t forget to check out their **granolas and herbal teas** in this week’s Farmstand Society market launching this Friday at 7PM

**One marketplace. Local businesses. Real people.**

Stay tuned as we continue introducing you to the incredible people behind Farmstand Society. 💚

New hyper fixation meal has entered the chat… and the entire thing is from Farmstand Society.

🍞Sourdough bread from Tiffany Bennett or Erica's Breads and Spreads
🧀Fresh mozzarella (we prefer bocconcino since they’re the perfect size) from Trotta’s House of Pasta
🍳Eggs (fried or scrambled) Cucumber Hill Farm
🧅Quick pickled onions grabbed from DIG Farm
🌱Microgreens from Pro Brothers Farm
🧂Finished with some exceptional grey sea salt from Webb & Adam Provisions

And let’s not forget the ☕️ not pictured but most definitely accompanying from chiaroscurocoffee

This meal has been on repeat for days and we are so not upset about it.

**UNDER HYPED vs. APPROPRIATELY HYPED**

We’re back with another round of products we think deserve a little more attention—and a few that are already getting the love they deserve!

**UNDER HYPED — Erica’s Breads & Spreads Artisan Jams**
The best thing about a great jam? Every batch captures the natural beauty of the fruit it came from. Erica’s jams are homemade with simple ingredients and **no artificial colors**, letting the fruit speak for itself. Perfect on toast, paired with cheese, swirled into yogurt, or simply enjoyed by the spoonful.

**APPROPRIATELY HYPED — Baked by Cece Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies**
Warm, gooey, buttery, and loaded with chocolate. These cookies have earned their reputation for a reason—and if you’ve ever had one, you know the struggle of trying to stop at just one. 😉

**APPROPRIATELY HYPED — Cucumber Hill Farm Eggs**
These heritage-breed hens spend their days roaming the woods, foraging for insects, seeds, and wild greens, while being supplemented with organic, soy-free Hudson Valley grains and locally sourced food scraps. The result? Beautiful, farm-fresh eggs with a story behind every carton.

**UNDER HYPED — Hidden Hope Farm Cucamelons**
Tiny, adorable, and seriously delicious! These little fruits look like miniature watermelons but taste like a crisp cucumber with a refreshing hint of citrus. Perfect for snacking, salads, pickling, charcuterie boards, or adding a fun seasonal twist to your meals.

Sometimes the products we overlook end up becoming our new favorites. That’s one of the best parts of shopping Farmstand—you never know what you’re going to discover! 🌿

**Which one are you adding to your cart this week?**
