Meet your newest Farmstand Society vendor: Stewart Watson Farm! 🍄

We’re incredibly excited to welcome this North Salem, NY farm to the market and bring something we’ve been wanting more of to our customers: really great local mushrooms, and lots of them.
From Blue, Golden, Pink and White Oysters to Lion’s Mane, King Trumpets, Maitake, Chestnuts, Pioppino and Shiitake, Stewart Watson Farm grows an amazing variety of gourmet mushrooms.

And this is the perfect time of year to start getting creative with them. Sauté them in butter and garlic, roast them until golden, add them to pasta or risotto, throw them into a soup, grill them—or let a beautiful mushroom be the star of the meal.

We love bringing you foods that make shopping local more interesting, more diverse and more delicious.

A Day in the Life of a Farmstand Society Customer

This post actually started with a text from my daughter.
I sent her off to college with a little Farmstand Society care package, some of the local favorites I knew she loved, and throughout the day she started sending me pictures of what she was eating.
And I thought… this is exactly why I created Farmstand Society. ❤️

Her day looked a little something like this:
☕️ Morning: Chiaroscuro coffee with Hudson Valley Fresh cream, sweetened with Westchester Maple maple sugar.
🍞 Breakfast: French toast made with Stone Vibes 11.11 organic sourdough, Cucumber Hills fresh eggs and Webb & Adam’s Saigon cinnamon, topped with Westchester Maple syrup.
🍝 Lunch: Trotta’s House of Pasta long fusilli with Trotta’s homemade vodka sauce.
🥣 Snack: Hudson Valley Fresh vanilla yogurt with Emi’s Garden double chocolate granola and a little Webb & Adam’s cinnamon.
🐟 Dinner: Hooked New York wild-caught salmon with Westchester Maple hot sauce, Hidden Hope Farm green beans sautéed with Garfunkel Butter.
🍪 And because there’s always room for something sweet: Baked By Cece brown butter chocolate chip cookies with Hudson Valley Fresh whole milk.

One day. So many local businesses. So many people behind the food.

And that’s the part I love most.
Farmstand Society isn’t just about buying groceries online. It’s about being able to open your fridge, your pantry, or your college care package and know that the things you’re eating came from real local farmers, bakers, makers and food producers.

It’s about making it easier to eat well, support small businesses, and keep more of your grocery dollars circulating right here in our community.
