Some wells have lots of sediment/mineral material which over time can impact the lifespan of your well pump. To help mitigate the amount of sediment your pump draws in a 4" PVC sleeve can be slid overtop allowing the heavy sediment material to pass right by the pump to the bottom of the well.

Picture of a well that occasionally overflows. Mineral Deposits and flaking parts of casing tell us the water level often reaches the top of this well. You can also see the fitting known as the pitless adapter. This fitting allows your water pipe to make a 90 degree turn heading underground and into your house. When doing service on a well pump we screw a steel bar into the pitless adapter and lift, exposing the pipe your well pump is attached to.

Here is a system we installed several years ago and are doing our annual service. The pressure gauge had failed and so it was replaced. This system consists of a Clack WS1 iron removal unit and a Clack WS1 water softener. There is a Pentair constant pressure drive to help deliver excellent water pressure to several buildings. We offer annual maintenance plans for water treatment systems. That includes Reverse Osmosis systems, Ultra Violet Lights, Neutralizers, sediment & carbon filters and water softeners. A customer called and said their well tank is making a rapid clicking noise. It is a good thing this home owner pays attention or they would have had to pay for a new well pump. One of the most common causes of submersible well pump failure is a "water logged" tank. This rapid cycling shortens the lifespan the pump tremendously. There are only a certain amount of starts in any product and this can be 60 starts/stops in a minute when the tank is fully water logged.
