Ms. Rocket, known to some as Lisa, is widely known for her beauty, intelligence, grace, and her stinging, unabated palette. Her interpretive skills and nature often lead to uncharted territory, and even more often, the brazen, shining truth.

Like few other imbibers, Lisa is able to taste what she would like to taste (a skill banned by the Church for centuries as witchcraft), hear what makes sense, and perhaps best of all, Ms. Rocket has pan-sensory extrapolation – a wine tasting skill extraordinaire. The rest of us can only admire the same wine and hope some of the magic wears off in our general direction.

Ms. Rocket settled in to the Cellar space like the natural she is. Her feline friends joined her seeking affection, and attempting, unsuccessfully, to disrupt her single-take musing about a few favorite wine tasting tales.

A Tale of Two Rockets (by Jim Brown)

The Goode St. Rocket
Jovial kind and smooth
Unlike Mean Mr. Rocket
All mouthy demanding and rude

One might profer
A sad wonting glass
“More, Sir, might I have more?”
The Goode St. Rocket
Tops that glass with joy and glee
“Dayglo Wred, our Italian blend!”

Yet Mean Mr. Rocket, with
Heartfelt fermented malice,
Fills that glass from his secret box
Of Very Unlucky Chucky, 5 bucks then!

The Goode St. Rocket, solution-oriented
To his code-drenched OS
Blazed out a napkin and wrote
(In Fortran or Fortnight or something like that)
And googled some reindeers a personal SOS…

Dear wine drinker, we don’t really know
Just what became of the Mean Mr. Rocket
Suffice to say that reindeer code
And the icy dicy sleigh upon which he rode
Left us with naught but the Goode St. Rocket
And to all, a good night.
