Have you ever heard of clipping chicken flight feathers? Our farm Friday Fact is brought to you by our Houdini chickens.

Clipping flight feathers is a completely painless grooming technique that prevents chickens from being able to fly. We have a few chickens that have been consistently flying over their poultry netting so to protect them from predators, we are needing to clip their wing feathers.

These feathers naturally molt or shed and regrow so this process may need to be repeated, usually once a year.

T H A N K Y O U ! We are so blessed to be a part of the first Sebewaing Township Farmers Market of the season. Thank you to all who came out and supported our family farm journey! It was wonderful seeing all of you today. It was also a joy to be alongside our friends at Grandpa's Woods Maple Syrup.

We sold out of our sourdough bread within the first 30 minutes of opening, so if you weren't able to pick some up, send us a message and we'll bake you some fresh loaves!

Help us name these two! Today we welcomed two new furry rabbits to our farm! We've been wanting to get into rabbits for a while and our two friends, Amanda and Josh, generously gave us two of their does to get us started.

We have a brown and a white rabbit that are Flemish Giant, Continental and New Zealand crosses and they need names!

The does got a little upgrade for their shelter today! This is will be large enough for them to comfortably fit under and will help shield them from the elements but also allow for air to pass through for our summer months. They're already exploring and trying to figure out how to jump over it 😆
