Just when you think everyone is going to be OK 🫠 Our Meg girl is needing some extra help gaining back weight. We have learned that apparently pigs can get lice (we've not noticed this problem before) and this poor piglet was covered in them. Thankfully we have a surplus of goat milk to feed her and we're praying she makes it through.

These piglets are so cute!! What a joy to have new life on the farm again. It's been a long two year journey working towards raising our own pigs at our farm.

Our first two gilts were unable to successfully breed, so after starting over with two new sets of breeding pairs this winter, it's fun to see the planning and investments pay off 🙌🏼

Pictured here is Belvedere, one of our week old mangalitsa piglets 🤍 We're happy to report all 10 are doing well and growing each day!

If you've been following our pig adventures, Cleo, our Meishan had her piglets late last night. Surprisingly, she only had four!! Did anyone guess four?! We didn't!

We were definitely expecting 8+ but honestly, we're not upset about it, just thankful they all delivered well and that she didn't have any complications. Praying these babies continue to grow and stay healthy as apparently the first 48 hours are most critical.

Jokes on us! While we were fretting about and watching Cleo last night, Shirley was also in labor! We didn't know she was pregnant but woke up to six little piglets all nursing and doing well. How cute are these little piglets??
