As we move into November, our hearts are full. We’re thankful for the sun that carried us through an abundant growing season, for the 8,000 pumpkins that found new homes, and for every school, family, and friend who came to the patch.

The corn maze held its own, Penelope and Ruby enjoyed their fair share of peanuts 🥜, and the piglets have officially outgrown their pen. 🐷

To everyone who visited the patch or supported us at the Saturday SB Farmers Market — thank you. Your warmth and kindness are what keep this small organic family farm growing strong. 🧡

Hi friends! 👋 There are a few new faces around here, so I figured it’s a good time to reintroduce myself. I’m Kristin — farmer, wife, mama to 3 kids, 3 goats, several pigs, and (at last count) 97 chickens. 🐐🐖🐓

My background’s in soil, hydrology, and erosion control — but these days you’ll find me raising my children, growing veggies, and juggling a million projects: sewing, crafting, fermenting, cooking, growing veggies and flowers, bouncing on the trampoline with my kids, building Lego creations, and of course… a healthy amount of taxi driving. 🚗✂️🥕

Lately, I’ve been daydreaming about how to increase the access to get dirt into the hands of children — because that’s where it all starts. The foundation. 🌱 I see it during field trips at the pumpkin patch — homeschool groups, private schools, public schools — every child lights up when they connect with the soil. They all need more of that time, experience, and knowledge… maybe even a little taste of it too! 😉

Anyway, nice to meet you! I love bringing people together and hope we connect over some shared love of pumpkins, organic farming, soil, or something in between. Until then 💚

Thank you for spending your weekend with us! 🌻 We’re always blown away by your kind words and support — we host this community pumpkin patch for you, our amazing community.

I didn’t take many photos this weekend, which usually means I was having too much fun being in the moment. So instead, here are a few of my favorite memories:
1. Hearing the kids’ priceless comments about how big mama pig is and how adorable the piglets are — and watching a crew of 6–8 year old boys help round up an escaped piglet! A true farm adventure for all. 🐷
2. Listening to everyone’s corn maze stories! Several families went through the maze multiple times because it was THAT good. One boy proudly told me he ran through it eight times. I even saw three people get completely turned around and lost.🌽
3. Finding out how folks heard about our patch. It warms my heart every time to know our little farm grows through word of mouth, kindness, and love. ❤️

We can’t wait to welcome you back next weekend — and oooh boy, it’s going to be a good one!
