WE’VE HEARD THE ALLEGATIONS.

For decades, Carolina fans have been accused of being a w**e-and-cheese crowd.

Guilty as charged.

But if we’re going to live up to the reputation, we might as well do it properly.

Not just any w**e. Burgundy.
Not just any cheese. Raclette.

This Saturday, as UNC and Duke face off, we’re rolling in a big-screen TV, pouring a complimentary Burgundy tasting, and firing up the raclette broiler for a special Saturday appearance.

Our new fall menu will be available all afternoon, too.

We’re throwing a dinner party with Napa Valley's Matthiasson

On Sunday, October 25, we’re going back 50 years for a five-course dinner inspired by the food, music and culture of one extraordinary year — with Napa Valley’s Matthiasson creating the complete w**e pairing for the evening.

Why Matthiasson? Their elegant, restrained w**es deliberately look back to the California w**emaking of the 1970s and ’80s. And the connection to 1976 runs even deeper: that was the year of the Judgment of Paris, when California w**es stunned France and changed the way the world thought about American w**e.

And Steve Matthiasson has serious w**e-world credentials: W**emaker of the Year honors from both Food & W**e and the San Francisco Chronicle, six James Beard Award nominations, and decades of consulting work with some of Napa’s most respected estates.

The food? Think dinner-party classics, remastered — fondue, shrimp cocktail, Black Forest Baked Alaska and more.

The music? Every course gets an album released in 1976, because back then you put on a record and let the whole thing play.

Five courses. Full Matthiasson w**e pairing. One night only.

There are two kinds of people in the world. People who’ve had hot, molten raclette scraped onto a plate of potatoes, ham and cornichons, and those who haven’t.

If you’re raclette curious or an Apres Ski veteran, join us every week for Raclette Days.

Every Wed-Thu, 5-9pm, starting Sept 30 until, maybe… forever… we’re busting out the raclette machine and hand scraping raclette over perfectly cooked potatoes, tangy cornichons, salty ham and crispy baguette.

Can’t believe we didn’t think of this sooner… but here we are. Join the raclette cult and enjoy this scrape montage.

The windows stay open a little longer.
Dinner gets later.
The light gets softer.
And the cheese is almost always better melted.

This fall, Wedgewood is leaning all the way in.

MELT is our season of warm cheese, good w**e, butter, bread, Alpine things, and cold-weather plates.

First, we’re starting with Raclette Days
Every Wednesday + Thursday, 5–9pm, beginning September 30.
Raclette melted and scraped to order with baguette, charcuterie, potatoes, mixed greens + a glass of w**e. $45 prix fixe or à la carte options.

This Friday from 3–5pm, we’re pouring three bright, coastal w**es from some of our favorite corners of the Mediterranean—Santorini, Sardinia, and Sicily—and pairing them with cheeses that tell the same story.

On the tasting table:

Centopassi Giato Bianco + Mozzarella Fior di Latte

No tickets. No reservations. Just complimentary pours, great cheese, and a chance to discover a few new favorites before settling in for dinner.

Tomato Week returns July 8–19. 🍅 Including a special Sunday service on July 19 from 12-7pm.

This summer, we’re letting the tomatoes take over. Heirlooms piled high. Tomato pie fondue. Gazpacho. Panzanella. Smoked trout with peak-season tomatoes. Charred corn butter toast. More butter, cheese, w**e, and tomatoes than is probably reasonable.

Because if summer in North Carolina has a flavor, this is it.
