It's definitely not about this bottle right here, and it's for sure not about said bottle going into a new store.

While the zesty flavors of citrus have long been branded as the shining sun of summer, citrus season is actually a (late) Fall and Winter harvest here in Texas! Which means a sweltering season where we’ve leaned on vinegars for acidity is coming to a close and we can officially begin to get excited about the sweet smell of a freshly sliced grapefruit. While we begin to concoct a stack of seasonal recipes (like Lemon-Charred Panfish or Grapefruit-Olive Oil Sorbet), we want to take a moment for some of our state's most celebrated small farmers and orchards that are responsible for the country’s third largest citrus production:��

G & S Groves’: Roadside stand and commercial sales available, from McAllen. Pictured in slides 2 + 3, from their Texas Highways feature, and used at one of everyone’s favorite Texas gems, Dai Due!

US Citrus: Another southern Texas family farm that offers state-wide box shipments to individuals and families, from Mission.�Sign up on their website to learn when their boxes drop this year.

Fike Farms: A fellow farmer selling at HEB, from their orchards in Edinburgh. Look out for their produce at one of Texas’ most beloved grocery stores across the state during harvest season.�

We've been traveling across the South this year and have meet some mighty fine folks. We learned that there are certain grocers who set standards for relationships with quality and farmers who give a dang. In Austin, Radius Butcher & Grocery are those who high standards come naturally to. We haven't just loved being found on their shelves, we've come to learn greatly from the communities they're creating surrounding sourcing and agricultural practices.

We love a fellow summer salad lover! Especially when you get great food from local farms with quality practices.

So amazing to see one of our favorite chefs get the recognition they deserve. A huge congrats to Chef Skye & the team at La Bodega Rotisserie & Goods, with their oh-so-delightful to-go recipes being featured on WFAA's .

A special thanks for letting us be a part of your shelves! For those who don't already know this Oak Cliff gem, our summer suggestion is to start with the Salad / Rotisserie combo.

We've been traveling across the south cooking up something special and are so excited to see the hard work starting to pay off. Y'all are looking at the number one olive oil in Oklahoma! Thank you so much to our neighbors who appreciate their southern farmers.
