Yes!!! Duck eggs will be available here!!! And, duck food to feed the babies ❤️

Introducing, my little farm stand. Grand opening to be announced soon. I know I’m off of the beaten path, but it’s only 10-15 minutes from Lancaster, Canal Wi******er or Pickerington! As the season progresses, I’ll have tomatoes, cucumbers and microgreens too. I totally forgot to put my cinnamon rolls on my menu 🙄 but I’ll have all sorts of goodies available weekly. Stay tuned. I’ll post the menu in the comments.

Such a nice day today. Here are most of my flock plus a couple of the neighbors and minus a few of mine. It’s not often I can snap a pic of all of them together- this is as close as I’m going to get. You can see that they are all different sizes, and their size corresponds to the size eggs they lay. The brown ducks lay blue eggs that are the shade of a robins egg. So pretty.

I’d say most nights after the ducks are in bed, Chandler finds an egg. He really enjoys them ❤️🥚🐾

Today’s noisy neighbor is a Red Headed Woodpecker!! The ducks look up at it with a “hairy eyeball” 😂

“Not everyone loves the sound of crows… but we do 🐦‍⬛

Fun fact: crows and hawks do NOT get along. When crows are active in the area, hawks are much less likely to stick around—which helps keep our ducks & geese safer 🦆

Meet our newest employee… still working on his name, but his résumé is impressive:

✔️ Unlimited energy
✔️ Never calls off
✔️ Works for basically peanuts
✔️ Excellent at “waving” to customers
✔️ Questionable dance skills, but very enthusiastic

Primary job duty?
Keeping the hawks on their toes and away from our ducks & geese 🦆🐥

So far, performance review:

🤷‍♀️ still TBD on effectiveness

If you see him out there flailing around… don’t worry—he’s not broken, he’s just working.

Outside tending to the ducks and listening to the sweetest little birds. The sounds the birds make are enough to make me smile.

Literally, sitting ducks. We have had a hawk interested in our ducks the past couple of days. After trying several deterrents over the years with nothing working, I have invested in one of those wacky waving inflatable men to hopefully scare them off. Probably the only ones that will be scared of it is the ducks 😆
