This is my current situation 💛🩶💛. This is Henrietta- she is a Toulouse/Sebastopol mix. She will be 2 weeks old tomorrow. My adult pair has wanted to sit on eggs for 2 years. I got lax collecting eggs this spring and let them sit on some. 28 days later, when they hatched, I learned that my geese do not have a nurturing bone in their bodies. I snatched this one from them. She was bloodied and beat up ( the other hatchling was killed by the mom ). She has been inside since then. I say “she” but really, I’m not entirely sure. I watched a YouTube video explaining how to s*x them and I did it, but who really knows until they grow up. Hopefully, she will be a companion for my lone male Toulouse. We will see.

Here are the newest girls in the flock. They will provide us with many eggs. They are only about 5 weeks old right now, but soon they will lay. This is their first trip out of their makeshift area in the garage. It was so hot in their enclosure that I made a spot in the garage where the floor is cool for them.

Introducing, my little farm stand. Grand opening to be announced soon. I know I’m off of the beaten path, but it’s only 10-15 minutes from Lancaster, Canal Wi******er or Pickerington! As the season progresses, I’ll have tomatoes, cucumbers and microgreens too. I totally forgot to put my cinnamon rolls on my menu 🙄 but I’ll have all sorts of goodies available weekly. Stay tuned. I’ll post the menu in the comments.
