Everything has been filling out exponentially. Shane came home and asked “What all did you plant today?” because planting starts out has become a daily activity. Three or so more trays of starts still on our porch. Direct sowed beans and nasturtiums popping up. Mulching is on the agenda this week, for sure.

Garden update (first week of April):
- Compost continues to be spread in the veggie beds. CJ almost got it finished off for me tonight! 🤗
- Tomatoes were planted out this weekend.
- No harvesting yet, but there are radishes, spinach, onions, lettuce, snap peas, yarrow, chamomile, calendula, foxglove, strawberries, asparagus, carrots, fennel, and other odds and ends growing out there.
- Added a fire ring raised bed to the middle circle to add visual depth (and attempt to kill some Bermuda grass that’s under it.)
- Next week, I’ll remove the rest of the tarps and finish prepping those beds. Also some direct sowing of warm weather plants. 🤗

And while I definitely won’t stick to every day, I love the idea of taking a minute to find the beauty in our property throughout the year. If you look for it, you can always find it.
