Sometimes we just need to take a moment to ourselves to enjoy what we have built. We get so wrapped up in what needs to get done, that we forget to enjoy what we have accomplished. So today I took a moment to breathe 💕

Another Chapter of the Broody Betty Chronicles 😂This crazy chicken is about to get an ice pouch! It’s too hot to be incubating babies right now!! We have had to cool her off almost everyday and make her get down to drink. She is so stubborn, I even locked her out of her box and she laid on the ground and fluffed up! She is determined!

Not a lot going on this month on the farm. That doesn’t change the amount of activity and stimulation she needs to have. Malinois need to keep their mind working and their body moving to remain healthy and happy. Even when I’m not “feeling it” she needs me to be there anyway. They are very intelligent and can actually get depressed without proper stimulation!
She was learning to climb the outside of the bannister by finding foot holds. She has to be able to get through any obstacle to defend the animal or her companion.

Just a quick little brunch and back to making the bread for the week! A little protein and a lot of starches I really do...

Are you starting your cool weather crops yet?

Cilantro loves the cooler Fall weather and is a must for us this time of year. Mr Farmer loves cilantro and all the things that go with it. He has had to dial back the heat on the peppers as we have “matured” though 🤣
